OhGeesy Chooses Favorite 50 Cent Song In ‘Sound Check’: Watch

OhGeesy is the latest guest on Uproxx‘s new music interview series, Sound Check and his love of 50 Cent was put to the test.

Hosted by Jeremy Hecht, the quickfire round show challenges guests to choose between two songs from some of their favorite artists, shedding light on their musical preferences and influences while uncovering never-before-heard stories from their personal lives and careers.

Acknowledging that Get Rich or Die Tryin’ is one of his all-time favorite albums, the Shoreline Mafia star was asked to pick between the chart-topping “In Da Club” and street anthem “Many Men (Wish Death)”.

After listening to both songs again, OhGeesy said: “‘Many Men’ for sure.”

The West Coast veteran then explained: “‘In Da Club’ was cool when it came out but then it got too much, too oversaturated.”

50 Cent was also an option in a subsequent round with the New Yorker’s 2007 hit “I Get Money” placed against classic rock legends Pink Floyd and their song “Money”.

Surprisingly, OhGeesy picked the Pink Floyd track and revealed he listened to the psychedelic rock band while he was tripping.

He then joked: “That shit fucked me up. I’ve never been the same since.”

Later in the episode, the “Geekaleek” rapper faced having to pick between Eminem‘s “The Real Slim Shady” and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg‘s “Still D.R.E.”

Geesy went with the West Coast classic and admitted he likes “serious shit”.

Also in the episode, OhGeesy was forced to pick which Kendrick Lamar song he preferred – “Money Trees” or Drake diss track “Euphoria”.

It was not a hard choice for the rapper (who also performed at K. Dot’s historic Pop Out concert last year) as he quickly picked the Jay Rock collaboration as he listened to it while he played Xbox on house arrest more than a decade ago.
