Offset has admitted that he and Quavo do sometimes “bump heads” but are otherwise on good terms.
Speaking on 7PM in Brooklyn, the former Migos rapper said: “It be the internet trying to do some old shit, but with us, it ain’t about that. We gotta holla at each other in the day, at the end of the day, man. That’s family at the end of the day, man. You’re gonna bump heads with your family sometime.
“In the day, a n-gga ain’t finna play with him, or a n-gga ain’t finna play with me.”
Over the last couple of years, rumors have swirled that the two rappers were no longer getting on with them sitting far apart at an NBA game.
It was also rumored that both rappers got into a fight backstage at the Grammy Awards, though Offset denied the rumors soon after and wrote on Twitter: “What tf look like fighting my brother yal n-ggas is crazy.”
The pair later reunited to honor Takeoff at the 2023 BET Awards with a medley of “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad and Boujee.”
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Offset shared an update regarding his relationship with Quavo and said: “That’s my brother at the end of the day. But we good, though. We were just with each other in Paris. We be talking ’cause we be going through little emotions with this shit, and it don’t be for the public.
“That’s the thing. When it’s like this, everything ain’t for the public to be key-keying and everybody want us to be, but we still gotta move in our own worlds. But it’s all love at the end of the day, we lost a brother, we can’t rock out.”
Last year, Offset reiterated his love for his groupmate during an appearance on Gillie Da Kid and Wallo’s Million Dollaz Worth of Game. During their chat, he argued that neither he nor Quavo had any obligation to address the speculation surrounding their brotherhood.
“I don’t feel like I owe it to people to show how much me and bro love each other … We went through something,” he said. “We don’t have to show you n-ggas smiles and faces, so stop doing that.
