Paris, France

N.O.R.E. has surprised Nas backstage in Paris while the legendary rapper was performing overseas on the N.Y. State of Mind Tour.

The brotherly interaction between the two iconic artists was captured and uploaded to social media. In the video, Nas swiftly left the stage and upon walking backstage, he and N.O.R.E. slapped hands and greeted each other with a hug.

After joking, laughing back and forth, and dapping each other up a few more times, other people backstage started to interact with the Queensbridge rap legend as well.

Both Nas and Wu-Tang Clan are currently on the N.Y. State Of Mind Tour, which is aptly named after the acclaimed Nasty Nas record off his classic 1994 debut album Illmatic. The overseas leg of the tour will wrap up on June 13 in London, England before starting back up in the U.S. on September 20 in Nashville, Tennessee.

N.O.R.E. has continued to give Nas his flowers and let him know the impact he’s had on his artistry as of late. The Drink Champs co-host recently revealed that his most surreal podcast episode was when he was able to interview Escobar.

“That’s my brother and I never really wanted to interview him at all because he’s my brother, but the fact that he did sit down…it’s very weird to ask people questions that you don’t wanna ask them. I’m not the police, and they know I’m not the police, but at the end of the day, I wanna have fun and I wanna make them surreal,” he told HipHopDX in May.

He continued: “At the end of the day, all Hip Hop stars is superheroes, but the thing is what makes Drink ChampsDrink Champs is I don’t make ’em superheroes; I make them Clark Kents.”

Nas sat down to speak with Drink Champs in 2019 shortly after the release of The Lost Tapes 2. During the lengthy conversation, N.O.R.E. took a moment to celebrate the monumental achievement of having the Queensbridge MC on the show.

“I arrived here being with my people and I never had dreams of doing business with Warren Buffett or Steve Jobs or things like that. My thing was I wanna do business with Puff Daddy, I wanna do business with Nas, I wanna do business with Hov. Because that’s who I look up to and that’s who I can see myself becoming,” N.O.R.E. said as applause broke out.
