Norah Jones To Be Remixed By Beastie Boys, Santigold

Jazz/Pop vocalist Norah Jones has had a wide appeal in the Hip Hop genre. The 30 year-old Brooklyn native worked with Andre 3000 on The Love Below (“Take Off Your Cool”), Talib Kweli on Eardrum (“Soon The New Day”) and Q-Tip on last year’s Renaissance (“Life Is Better”). Today, her label Blue Note/EMI Records announced that veteran emcee-rockers The Beastie Boys will be remixing some of Jones’ latest work.

Tomorrow (December 1), website Rcrdlbl.com will feature a remix of “That’s What I Said.” The song, originally appearing on The Fall, is given a “NYC Remix” by Beasties Ad-Rock and Mike D. December 2 will see Stereogum.com feature a Santigold remix to “Chasing Pirates.” There are three remixes in total, set to be released on vinyl and digitally on January 12, 2010.

In conjunction with these remixes, Jones will be doing a 36-city tour. The dates are posted below:
