NLE Choppa is ready to shift the conversation around him back to music after concerns of him going missing began making the rounds online.

On Sunday (October 22), the Tennessee native took to Instagram with news of dropping fresh music this weekend, promising to release the tracklist even sooner if fans left him more than 12K comments.

In the caption attached to a series of throwback photographs and videos, he wrote: “He Back, Don’t Get Scared Now [purple-devil emoji, purple-heart emoji] New EP This Friday [22 purple-devil emojis] #oldchoppa.”

Last week, the 20-year-old expressed his gratitude to his fans after his brief disappearance over the weekend, but also urged supporters to turn their attention to more important things. Late last week, he told fans he was appreciative they were worried about him while also clarifying that he hadn’t actually gone missing.

“I appreciate ya’ll showing concern but the missing narrative isn’t cool, especially knowing that people really do go missing everyday,” Choppa wrote on Twitter. “I took a little time to myself to get back to my roots, but trust I’m all good. Apologies to anyone that was worried. We don’t run from battles, we take em chin up. IM BACK.”
