NLE Choppa‘s personal growth — like making the switch to veganism and getting involved in activism — has been quite interesting to watch, and it couldn’t be more evident in the new video for his track, “Champions.”
Released on Wednesday (May 31), the D.A. Got That Dope-produced record features the Memphis native delivering a few inspiring bars about facing adversity. It also featured a host of superstar athletes like Floyd Mayweather, Odell Beckham Jr., Olympic Gold swimmer Michael Andrews, Kyrie Irving and more.

Choppa was also spotted visiting the students of Cornerstone Prep Denver Campus (located in Memphis) to celebrate them winning his reading challenge — the elementary students apparently read over 40 million words.
Later in the video, we see Choppa participating in the protest he held a few months back in honor of fellow Memphis native Tyre Nichols.
“My view from the top of the moon (Space)/I can see the whole world sittin’ in my hand, amazin’ view (Let’s go)/We finna break the rules (Let’s go)/And we gon’ make ’em too (Make ’em too)/I can’t fall or slip, I gotta stand tall, that’s what a leader do (A leader do),” he raps on the track.
He continues on the hook: “Ayy, we gon’ ball never fall, the champions (Champions)/The champions (Champions), the champions (Champions)/Ayy, we gon’ ball, never fall, I put my head up/And told ’em, “Crown me”/My ring finger got a rock on it, rock on it.”

The Memphis rapper took to Instagram over the weekend to share a montage of himself spending time with his three-year-old daughter.
In the post’s caption, NLE Choppa explained how his child “changed his life” at a time when he was “contemplating suicide.”
