Yesterday it was announced that Hip Hop superstar Kanye West’s fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy had premiered on Amazon.com for the cost of $3.99 per digital download. On the biggest Rap release week of the year, another high-profile full-length, courtesy of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday, will sell digitally on the site for $4.99.
Minaj’s solo debut, released through Young Money/Universal Motown features Drake, will.i.am and Kanye West. The 2008 DXnext artist’s album formally released yesterday, November 22.

You consider that an act of desperation? That’s definitely something people should value. Lots of legends on a song is something great. And her album is worth a penny while Kanye’s is the album of the year. Call me a stan if you want, I just happened to love the work ethic put into the production and the lyrics. You can tell that he worked hard on it.

Fair enough… Did you listen to the album? I mean, if you did you’d notice a lot of things from it, or if you did listen -> I recommend you re-listen. I like to analyze music a whole lot, and find the greatness in every song…trust me though, I’m not even that big of a Kanye fan. When I saw that Rolling Stones gave it a 5/5, I thought it was bullshit. But that’s actually a rating I could respect and accept (I give it a 4.5/5). I could go on and on, it’s just pure/outstanding art.
Side note – Lloyd Banks’ album was nice, and Curren$y’s too.

You’re absolutely right working hard doesn’t mean you are productive. Except for his hard work actually paid off. What I’m saying is that the songs are really good, engaging, deep, and you can tell that he worked hard on them. All of The Lights is probably the song he put the most effort in, and you can tell (that song is one of the best on the album). If you can make a song that is longer than 5 minutes and still engage the listener, specially today, than you’re doing a good ass job.
As for your analogy, you’re not productive but your end product will make it well worth your efforts.
