Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday Tour passed through Atlanta, where a fan learned the hard way that audience participation isn’t always a cakewalk.
On Wednesday (March 20), Minaj performed a slightly altered version of “The Night Is Still Young” during her show in Georgia. At one point, she even handed the microphone to a fan close to the stage in hopes of some getting some support on the chorus, except the chosen one simply couldn’t hang.

The fan subsequently shared a tweet of the interaction and wrote: “nicki handed me her fucking MICCCC LIKE OMFG.”
This prompted a quote-tweet from the East Coast MC with an exasperated face emoji.
In a follow up tweet, Nicki wrote: “They so lucky I can’t sing either chi [eyeroll emoji] I would take the mic & rlly show them somethin.”

While Nicki Minaj has enjoyed tons of good press since she kickstarted the Pink Friday Tour, she recently hit a snag as she had to cancel her New Orleans show just hours before she was scheduled to go on.
The Queens rapper pulled out of her concert at the Smoothie King Center earlier this week due to illness, leaving many disappointed at the last-minute switch.
The following day, she took to social media to offer her “sincerest apologies” and stated that she didn’t want to give anything less than “100 percent” of herself on stage.
“New Orleans, please accept my sincerest apologies for having to reschedule our date together,” she wrote. “You mean so much to me & I hate that things didn’t go as planned.

“Within the next few days, I hope to update our schedule with a new date that I can give you 100% of myself & nothing less. You don’t deserve to pay for a tkt to see me up there rapping with the flu. Absolutely NOT.
“Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your well wishes. I love you. I adore you. I appreciate you. I look forward to seeing you very soon. It may have to be in MAY due to the NBA finals, but we won’t complete this tour w/o you.”
