Nicki Minaj has teamed up with German pop singer Kim Petras for “Alone,” which bears a familiar sample from a ’90s club banger.

The pair released the colorful visual on Tuesday (May 2), rocking matching black latex as they deliver their verses.

The song has already debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated May 6, coming in at No. 55. This could be Nicki Minaj’s second smash of the year, as she’s already doing major numbers with her Ice Spice collab, “Princess Diana.”

As of Sunday (April 30), the song has been downloaded 77,000 times since its April 14 debut – which is the best sales week for any rap title since Nicki Minaj dropped “Super Freaky Girl” in 2022. The single has also allowed Ice Spice to nab her first No. 1 Hot Rap Song after appearing on the charts four previous times.

In addition, “Princess Diana” has the eighth spot in chart history featuring at least two solo women, which dates back to 1989 (including rappers and singers).

Recently, Chart Data reported that Minaj had become the rapper with the most No.1 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart. Overtaking Drizzy’s 13 No. 1s, Nicki earned her 14th because of “Princess Diana.” As a result, Nicki extends her record as the female rapper with the most Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart.

The duo recently released an EP of “Princess Diana” remixes, which includes four alternative versions of Ice Spice’s popular track, including one called “Extendo Clip.”

Although they maintain the energetic beat of the original, each remix has its own flavor, texture, and influence.

The remix of the Like…? single comes after Ice Spice was shouted out by the Pinkprint rapper after she appeared on the cover of Dazed magazine.

“GAG!!! ‘The people’s PRINCESS.’ Catch it!!!” Nicki wrote at the time. She also quoted Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana” lyrics back to her in the comments, making the link-up very fitting.
