Nicki Minaj‘s husband Kenneth Petty feels that his alleged rape victim and her legal team are trying to embarrass him and his wife with newly-filed evidence.
According to a report from AllHipHop on Sunday (September 3), Petty’s alleged rape victim Jennifer Hough recently filed a request for an amendment to her lawsuit against him to include picture evidence from the 1994 incident.

This evidence includes photographs of the knife used during the incident, images of the room where she alleges the assault occurred, bruises on her side, and pictures of her neck where she claims Petty choked her.
In response, Petty’s legal team asserted that “the true purpose of the request is to feed her and her counsel Tyrone Blackburn’s desire for publicity and to publicly humiliate him and Nicki Minaj.”

They noted that the the public filing of the exhibits, combined with Hough and her counsel’s public statements concerning the graphic images and the proposed Second Amended Complaint, “demonstrates that the motion was made in bad faith.”
Blackburn had quite the response, saying: “Petty did not come forward to clear the record when his wife went on her Queen Radio program and accused [Hough] of lying. Accused [Hough] of being a white woman, saying ‘white equals right,’ and disgustingly insinuating that Plaintiff is comparable to Carolyn Bryant, the white woman who wrongfully accused Emmett Till.”

Kenneth Petty was previously convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995 and served over four years in prison for the charge. He pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in 2021, and a judge sentenced him to one year of home confinement and three years of probation.
That same year, Hough filed a $20million lawsuit against him and Nicki Minaj, alleging she’d repeatedly been bribed, harassed and threatened over the years since the pair began dating in 2018. The rapper has since been dropped from the suit.

In December, Judge James R. Cho referred the case to mediation and said if both parties could not come to an agreement, the case would proceed to trial.
“The case is referred to Court-annexed mediation,” the court noted in documents obtained by AllHipHop. “Parties to select a mediator by 12/20/2022 and complete mediation by 3/6/2023. Parties may participate in the mediation remotely.”
Petty managed to avoid the meditation after falling ill, however.
