Nicki Minaj Hit With Onslaught Of Criticisms For Partnering With Tekashi 6ix9ine Again

Now that Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine have confirmed their next collaboration “TROLLZ” is arriving on Friday (June 12), Twitter has had a chance to weigh in  — and not everybody is jumping for joy.

On Wednesday (June 10), Black Barbie shared two photos of their “TROLLZ” video shoot to her Instagram page and noted she would be donating some of the proceeds to The Bail Project, Inc.

“A portion of the proceeds from #Trollz including merch items, will be going directly to The Bail Project Inc.,” she wrote in the caption. “The fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who can’t afford to pay bail while awaiting their trial.

“We want to protect and support the thousands of brave people working on the front lines of social justice, using their voices to demand AN END to the targeting and killing of Black Americans by the police. #BlackLivesMatter.”

6ix9ine shared a similar post and captioned it with, “nObOdY gOiN To WoRk wiTH HiM No mOrE. LINK IN MY BIO. GO PREORDER TROLLZ RIGHT NOW. PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS FROM TROLLZ WILL GO TO BAILING OUT PROTESTERS.”

Evidently, a lot of people not only took issue with the word “portion” but also the fact Nicki would collaborate with someone with a reputation like 6ix9ine. In 2015, 6ix9ine entered a guilty plea for the use of a child in a sexual performance and was arrested in 2018 on racketeering charges.

Subsequently, he agreed to turn government witness in an effort to receive a lighter sentence, earning the nickname “Snitch9ine” in the process.

Then in January, Nicki’s brother Jelani Maraj was sentenced to 25 years to life after he was found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child and endangering the welfare of a child in 2017. Nicki also married convicted sex offender Kenneth Petty, which also raised a few eyebrows.

Nicki’s willingness to work with 6ix9ine again has polarized the rap community. Needless to say, the colorful duo is getting roasted on Twitter.

    1. Same people hatin probably got no problem with Officer Ricky who is a lying fraud and bragged about drugging and r@ping women in song

      1. Ross ain’t snitch on nobody that we know of. Trick Daddy wouldn’t have put that pic out there, we would never know. && he’s a better fucking artist. && those were just lyrics. He aint get no lawsuit behind that, in this day && age bitches wouldve been sued. Energy is kept. Fuck 69 && Nicki. And tbh I feel like ross was a corrupted C.O.

    2. Let me get this straight. You’re going to do a song with a real life snitch. Not a civilian (someone who is not gang affiliated) who normally call the police, but with someone who told on the people in the organization he was affiliated with to get a lighter sentence. Some people like to conflate the two as if they are the, but they are not. Then use some of money rioters and looters to make bail. The world has seriously gone crazy.

    3. They are just following directions from their label – puppets on a string – take it easy on em

    4. You don’t like them, you ignore/don’t support them. Americans are stupid. The people they act like they hate, they are actually supporting. The Kardashians, Ball Family, Paris Hilton are still counting their money.

    5. memba when we were tryna bring up black people? but no dog this girl for working with someone who took down a gang who was selling drugs and infecting the community! what a terrible guy that 6ix9ine!

      1. oooooooooo he snitched.. ya no shit. he snitched on BAD PEOPLE when will u fucks realize this “no snitchin” shit is stupid. meanwhile we protest George Floyd death but u promote the same shit that kills black people…. sad. yall are fake news.

    6. Twitter is filled with trash with zero ambition who are critical of successful people because have zero potential and haven’t applied themselves to grow in areas of their life. Enjoy your trailer parks, project buildings, food stamps, rent subsidies, child support, and last but not least your laziness and complacency. You could have done better but you chose what you chose. Twitter is the voice of the broke by choice.

    7. Snitchy Minaj needs to return to retirement. Dumb thot put a target on her back working with rats. Brother a pedo, hubby a pedo. Of course she rocks with TeChomo Snitch9
