Nicki Minaj has been riding a wave of success as of late, and her recent “Barbie World” single is further proof that there’s no stopping the Queens rapper.
Her new single with Ice Spice arrived on Friday (June 23), and Nicki has now shared a behind-the-scenes thirst trap from the making of the official music video.

Minaj took to Twitter on the same day as the video’s release to show off her long pink hair, her breast reduction, and all her tea and cakes in a barely-there multi-colored swimsuit. She completed the look with a sweet pair of blacked-out sunglasses.

The official video finds the pair getting all pretty in pink, riding around town together as they trade bars about how they both are just like the popular toy doll.
“And I’m bad like the Barbie/ I’m a doll but I still wanna party, Pink ‘Vette like I’m ready to bend/ I’m a 10, so I pull in a Ken/ Jazzie, Stacie, Nicki/ All of the Barbies is pretty/ All of the Barbies is bad It girls, and we ain’t playin’ tag,” they rap.

The track, which includes a sample of Aqua’s 1997 hit “Barbie Girl,” was first teased at the end of the original Barbie trailer, and has kept fans on the look out ever since.
This isn’t the first time the duo has gone totally pink together. As fans are well aware, they previously joined forces for a remix of Spice’s track “Princess Diana,” and the accompanying video saw them both donning an entirely pink wardrobe as they got up close and personal with one another in the bedroom.

Prior to its arrival, the “Barbie World” remix experienced a bit of drama last week when Compton rapper JasonMartin (formerly known as Problem) took to social media to accuse the Pinkprint rapper of omitting his writing credit on the track.
He claimed to be a writer on a track back when it originally belonged to Saweetie, and that his credit has since been removed.
“Y’all gon’ give me what I deserve,” Martin said on Instagram Live. “Now, if Saweetie don’t wanna trip, that’s on her … But we crafted a record that was sent over to Nicki to hop on to submit to the Barbie soundtrack.
“She said she was gonna do it … Then all of a sudden, a new version was created. Yes, it’s a sample, you can do what you want. But n-gga, you can’t hear one thing, say you’re gonna do this, then go do your version. It ain’t happening like that.”
He added: “Anybody that’s in this business knows that that’s not how this works.”
