Nick Cannon is reportedly calling “fake news” on The Shade Room’s report he’s suing ViacomCBS for $1.5 billion.
According to TMZ, Cannon’s team adamantly denies any type of lawsuit has been filed against the media conglomerate by the former Wild ‘N Out host. Instead, they say he’s focused on “bringing people together and fighting bigotry, racism and hate.” The team added a major payday is the “last thing” on Cannon’s mind.
Cannon was fired by the media giant last month after a clip of his interview with Professor Griff of Public Enemy fame went viral. He was accused of making numerous anti-Semitic remarks during their conversation and ViacomCBS swiftly terminated their contract with him.
The multifaceted artist fired back in a lengthy Facebook post and demanded ownership of Wild ‘N Out, which he birthed in 2005.
“I demand full ownership of my billion dollar ‘Wild ‘N Out’ brand that I created, and they will continue to misuse and destroy without my leadership!” he wrote in part. “I demand that the hate and back door bullying cease and while we are at it, now that the truth is out, I demand the Apology!”

Since the controversial Cannon’s Class episode with Griff, the 39-year-old has apologized to the Jewish community for any harm he caused.
“First and foremost I extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin,” he tweeted last month. “They reinforced the worst stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uninformed and naïve place that these words came from. The video of this interview has since been removed.”
Nick’s absolutely right. We must bring people together and do away with racism and bigotry! But first, we got to get that stimulus package. We filed for 15 billion. 1.5 for Nick and 13.5 for black folk reparations for years the owe us. I don’t know where The Shade Room got that 1.5 billion dollars from.
