Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott have revealed they’re now the proud parents of a baby girl they’ve named Halo Marie Cannon.

Scott first announced she was pregnant with Cannon’s 12th child in October. The model has a four-year-old from a previous relationship, while she and Cannon welcomed a baby boy named Zen last year. Sadly, Zen passed away at just five months old in December 2021.

On Thursday (December 29), Scott took to Instagram to share a video documenting the birth of the couple’s latest bundle of joy, who was born on December 14. It shows Cannon in the delivery room patiently waiting for Halo Marie to arrive, and it’s not too long before she is put in his arms, after which he exclaims: “It’s a girl!”

Scott shared a heartfelt message alongside the video, honoring both Zen and their newest arrival.

“December 14 2022. Our lives are forever changed,” she wrote. “Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us, he shows me signs everyday.”

She continued: “I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

Nick Cannon has not yet posted about the birth.

Cannon and Scott revealed that they lost Zen last December due to a brain cancer-related tumor. The Wild ‘N Out creator said that the cancer was discovered three months before his death as fluid began building up inside his head and required surgery.

“We were faithful and hopeful for that time. We carried on, he was still just playing with his brothers and sisters, I embraced every moment,” Cannon said on his now-canceled talk show at the time. “[Scott’s] just the strongest woman I’ve ever seen.”
