New Young Thug Album Is “The Most Unique” His Audio Engineer Has Ever Heard

If an audio engineer who has worked with the likes of Drake, 21 Savage, Metro Boomin, Kanye West, Future and Travis Scott has something to say about an upcoming album then it’s probably a good idea to listen.

Alex Tumay, who worked on Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo as well as several other major releases in the last few years, has given his take on Young Thug’s upcoming album, Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girls (or E.B.B.T.G. for short).

Earlier this week, DX posted a teaser of one of the album’s tracks that sounded an awful lot like the old Thug crossed with Waylon Jennings, and Tumay seems to have confirmed that fans are in for a total rollercoaster when it comes to the styles and genres on E.B.B.T.G.

Writing on Twitter, Tumay said: “This is easily the most unique album I’ve heard in my life. Getting to be a part of it is a blessing.”

Asked if he would consider it a pop album, Tumay went on to say he could hear “at least 7 genres.”

Tumay has worked with Thugger before on Jeffery, as well as all three Slime Season mixtapes, so if you’ve liked Young Thug’s music up until now then that means you think Tumay has been doing a good job.

Sounds like Thug’s next album could be his most ambitious so far. Now where’s that release date?

    1. This generation is fucking lost lol you people hear an acoustic guitar in a song and automatically assume its a country song cause all the music you listen to is full of electronic synth sounds so when you hear an actual real instrument being played it blows your little tiny mind away. Im soooo glad im not from this new generation would a bunch of fuckin lost sheep clinging on to anything that resembles popularity. Btw dude can use auto tune all day but his vocals are still super crappy. Tell his engineer to come with some new shit# Peace!

      1. im so sorry for you.And what do you mean “im soooo glad im not from this generation.” If you are younger than 37 you are still considered a millenial, and you know how older folks feel about millenials

        1. Your sorry for me? You the one on hear defending Young whatever that fluck his name is also the only one at the moment apparently sorry your trash trap music has no substance you dont have to listen to it either just like me

    2. This site, the radio stations, music channels, award shows, magazines & mainstream outlets that are in charge of disseminating anything related to hip-hop have lost ALL credibility. These people have sold out the culture for popularity & stupid ass fucking trends, they’ve allowed corporations to hijack the art & make a complete mockery of it. They’ve allowed these corporations to rob hip-hop of its autonomy, mindset, creativity, nuances and even its masculinity. I look at this site with complete disgust now. Promoting garbage, stupidity and reinforces the notion talent/credibility is no longer a necessity to get a deal. These clowns are not artists because the BULLSHIT they make is completely devoid of anything that defines a human being. No heart, no soul, no emotion, no storytelling, NO NOTHING! These clowns don’t respect hip-hop or know anything about it, they’re IGNORANT in every sense of the word. I pity this generation because the only things to take into account is popularity, awards, the charts, amount of airplay, number of instagram followers, twitter followers, facebook likes, money and other trivial bullshit that doesn’t reflect on talent whatsoever. Seriously, fuck this generation and every cowardly outlet that has allowed hip-hop become the abomination that it is today!

      1. I’m Listening and agree, what now though? if the Mind control is/has been in effect; affecting the masses. I contemplatively ask, What now?

      2. You can write all that but HHDX still dont care, they make money off bullshit. So their articles are gonna reflect that garbage. Sad really.
