New Public Enemy

Public Enemy will return with their first album in 3 years, and it might just prove to be their most revolutionary yet. That is saying something considering that they made what it widely considered to be the best album of all-time in “It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back” and are a pioneering group of highly political rap. Their new album, entitled “Revolverlution,” will feature 8 new tracks, 4 remixes and 3 live tracks. It is the four remixes that really make this a special release.

Last year on his website, slamjamz.com, Chuck D posted the vocals for 4 classic PE songs and invited fans to download the vocals and make their own beats for them. Four winners were selected and these fan remixed tracks will appear on the new album. Chuck D’s label, SlamJamz Records, will release the album with KOCH Entertainment.

The live tracks featured are the classics “Welcome To The Terrordome,” “Fight The Power,” and “Uzi Weighs A Ton.”The album will drop on July 23rd, marking 15 years since their debut with “Yo! Bum Rush The Show.” Public Enemy will be going on a international tour in the fall.
