New Music Friday has kicked back into gear to begin the new year — and there’s plenty of heat to help you warm up this winter.
Following his long-awaited prison release late last year, Max B is making up for lost time as he returns with his second project in as many months — this time a reunion with his Coke Wave comrade French Montana. With help from Metro Boomin and Harry Fraud, the Rotten Apple duo connect for a Narcos-inspired third installment in their cult classic mixtape series.
Another exciting link-up comes courtest of IDK and Pusha T, who sharpen their lyrical swords over cold-blooded production from KAYTRANADA on “LiFE 4 A LiFE,” the latest preview of the former’s upcoming album Even the Devil Smiles.
Elsewhere, Larry June and Hit-Boy continue to prove they’re two of hip-hop’s hardest-working hustlers with respective new tracks, while heads who stay plugged into the underground will enjoy what Wiki, Your Old Droog, Kai Ca$h and RJ Payne have served up.
