Nelly’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Shoes Raise $50K To Benefit Human Trafficking Survivors

Nelly’s turn on Dancing With The Stars resulted in his shocking finish as a finalist as well as some Hip Hop inspired footwear from Jordan’s to Nike’s and more courtesy of The Shoe Surgeon. Now with DWTS officially wrapped, the Country Grammar rapper’s custom dance shoes are being auctioned off to help young women who are survivors of human trafficking.

At least 10 of Nelly’s custom dance shoes are being sent to The Teen Project, an organization aiding young women who’ve suffered trauma and homelessness. The entire collection is projected to be worth over $50,000.

Throughout 2020, Nelly has become a strong advocate for The Teen Project, helping raise over $820,000 in 2020, $300,000 above their total for all of 2019. Nelly’s efforts alone have propelled others to donate to the organization, bringing in an additional $30,000, according to TMZ.

    1. My question is when you say “human trafficking survivors” do you really mean escorts from 3rd world countries that bring in $500-1000 a trick so they can get their visas ? While I agree they are being preyed on, I believe they know what they are signing up for and doing the same work glorified in strip clubs and the adult industry. Only difference is they are here illegally. My issue is these girls all end up getting citizenship anyway and become the next high priced thots and instagram hip hop groupies. Does anyone remember Kat Stacks ?
