Nelly and Jermaine Dupri may have won best Halloween costume this year after dressing up as part of the legendary group The Temptations.

The St. Lunatic tapped up JD as well as Polow Da Don, Bryan Michael Cox and Johnta Austin to dress as the R&B group for his Halloween 22 The Mo-town Revue 50’s & 60’s Costume Party. The event took place on Monday (October 31) in Atlanta, Georgia, and also served as a party to celebrate Nelly’s 48th birthday.

Teyana Taylor, T.I., Kandi Burress, professional basketball player Lou Williams and many other guests attended the silk-themed affair in full garb inspired by the golden age of soul music.

Nelly and his crew had a field day dressing up as the modern-day Temptations as they posed for pictures and even performed some of the original group’s timeless records such as “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg.”

If that weren’t enough for guests, Usher joined Nelly and crew on stage for a quick set of his own, dressed in a costume inspired by the late actor Clark Gable.

“‘MO’ Town’s Finest Happy Birthday’ Mo’ @nelly UR’s truly -Dark Gable,” Usher captioned the post of his impromptu performance.

Even though the new age Temptations had some stellar costumes, other people in the Hip Hop community showed out with their costumes, such as Diddy’s get-up as Heath Ledger’s infamous Joker character from the 2008 film The Dark Knight.

The Bad Boy Records mogul was not only dressed as The Joker but was fully immersed in the maniacal character by adopting his creepy speech and piercing laughter while roaming around Los Angeles. He even bumped into Tyler The Creator, who approved of the well-executed costume.

Not everyone was rocking with Diddy’s costume, though. Power actor Michael J. Ferguson ran into Puff at one point and appeared to not recognize him in costume before getting into a heated exchange with him in the middle of the street.

A viral video of their confrontation showed Ferguson, who plays Francis “2-Bit” Johnson in 50 Cent’s Power universe, squaring up to a costume-clad Puff and calling him “pussy” in front of a crowd of people.

Diddy took a few steps back and let out a hysterical laugh before replying: “You’re a clown!” However, Puff soon dropped out of character and picked up the tough talk.

“What’s up, baby? You don’t like me?” he said. “Then muthafuckin’ get to it, n-gga. If you don’t like me, you muthafuckin’ fronting. Get to it, bitch. Don’t fucking play with me on Halloween. I’m out here with love, n-gga.”

The two continued with their back-and-forth until Diddy revealed who he was to Ferguson. Once the situation seemed to cool off, the two hugged it out while letting each other know they had no problem turning up the volume.
