50 Cent Hypes Nas ‘Magic 2’ Collab As Release Date & Cover Art Arrives

50 Cent has ramped up the excitement for his feature on Nas’ new album Magic 2, which is dropping later this week.

50 took to Instagram on Tuesday (July 18) to confirm that he and the legendary Queensbridge lyricist will be colliding on the project, which is set to arrive on Friday (July 21).

“Yal ain’t herd me in minute, @nas felt like it was time so it’s done. Check us out Friday 7.21 MAGIC 2 (Office Hours) QGTM Boom,” he wrote in his caption underneath the Magic 2 cover art, which depicts a young Nas morphing into his modern-day self.

Nas also shared the news on Instagram, along with Hit-Boy, who appears to be reprising his production duties after scoring the first Magic LP in 2021, along with all three of Esco’s King’s Disease projects.

News of Nas and 50 Cent reuniting on wax was first revealed in February, with Billboard reporting that the G-Unit boss was set to make a rare appearance on what they believed was King’s Disease 4.

The Queens legends last linked up musically in 2002 when they both were signed to Columbia Records, joining forces for “Too Hot” and “Who U Rep With” off 50’s Guess Who’s Back? mixtape.

The pair briefly clashed in 2005 when 50 mocked Nas on “Piggy Bank” for getting a tattoo of his now-ex-wife Kelis (“Kelis said her milkshake bring all the boys to the yard/ Then Nas went and tattooed the bitch on his arm.”)

However, any lingering tension was diffused in 2014 when the pair shared the stage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam.

50 later gave Nas his flowers during an interview with Hot 97 last year, saying: “I love Nas. He’s really the one. He is the guy, the lyrical — we was figuring out how to do it.”

    1. That first Magic record was weak, his just being honest, don’t go hiphop dork spazzola on me, nerds. If you take all 3 KD records, and the Magic record, and that record he did with Kanye, you can put together a dope 14-15 song album, but most of that stuff is forgettable.

      1. THAT’S A HORRIBLE LIE BRO…
I HOPE U GET SOME MENTAL HELP IN THEM DIFFICULT TIMES THAT YOU’RE FACING IN UR LIFE🙏🙏🙏🙏

      2. Let’s just be honest you don’t know hip-hop, nor do you know music and need to shut the fuck up. Go get checked into a mental institution.

      3. Magic is a no skip banger! You’re insane! The Truth is the hardest east coast track to drop since the early 2000s. What do y’all be listening to?!

      4. Bro, I’ve been listening to hiphop since 1986. I worked in the industry for 12 years. I’ve met more rappers than you can name. I’ve been on stage with rappers that you’d jiz yourself if you saw in real life. I have more records in my house than you have brain cells in your head. I can name every MC, producer, and A&R that practically ever lived. I would bury you so deep in hiphop knowledge you’d wake up tired. You’re just a nerd who can’t be objective because you’re a fan boy. This is art, it’s not wrestling. You don’t have to handcuff yourself to an artist and blindly praise them. Have a brain.

    2. I wonder which version of 50 we’re going to get on that song. If it’s going to be on some lazy writing like on “remember the name” then count me out.

    3. How 50s verse comes out will determine how long he spent on it. If he threw down I 5 mins it’ll be some elementary level verse

    4. For some reason, I really think 50 is going to use his verse as an opportunity to shoot a dart at Jay. Wouldn’t be surprised if it contained a reference to “Ether”.
