Multi-Million Dollar Legal Dispute Underway Over DMX’s “Undisputed”

After a Top 20 debut week at retail, DMX’s seventh solo album, Undisputed is now involved in a legal battle. According to AllHipHop.com, Seven Arts Entertainment has sued In The Zone Entertainment over distribution rights to the latest album from the Yonkers, New York Rap star.

In The Zone’s Craig Sussan and Charles Gullo are reportedly breaking an agreement arranged by Seven Arts. Per AHH’s report, the company made an agreement to distribute an album by DMX in February, called Redemption Of The Beast. In The Zone failed to pay Seven Arts a fee as agreed by the contract. Seven Arts is seeking over $6 million in damages.

Undisputed, featuring production by Swizz Beatz and Dame Grease, sold approximately 17,000 copies in its first week at retail.

      1. Coming from a fan of DMX, 17K in the first week is horrendous. Especially if you take into account all of X’s previous albums, with the exception of Year of the Dog… Again, have gone 3x-5x Platinum.

    1. This all could have been avoided if DMX worked with a real nigga like Ja Rule, come on son… Ja Rule is the hottest nigga in the world, he could have helped you release this wack ass album.

    2. they want to get paid it was released on a INDIE it moved 17k in a week you kids dont get its money behind that 17k sold that you laugh at CAN YOU MOVE 17 THOUSAND UNITS IN A WEEK WITH NO MAJOR LABEL I DOUBT IT HAHA

    7. They don’t want 6 million. They need 6 million just to stay affloat. Bum label lol Bum crack addict lol Bum album that sounds like it was recorded inside a washing machine.

    8. “sold that you laugh at CAN YOU MOVE 17 THOUSAND UNITS IN A WEEK WITH NO MAJOR LABEL I DOUBT IT”

Even Slaughterhouse sold more than 17,000, and they’re the laughing stock of rap right now. Face it. DMX tanked. Seven Arts is going to boot Crack Man X, and when Ja gets out of prison he’s going to stick his boot somewhere else.

    9. stop hateing on x he 1 of the only real niggas out there fuck what he do r what he spend his money on ……stop hateing gay as rappers fans

    10. “17,000 in a week is actually not bad”

He once sold 698,000 first week with And Then There Was X. That’s a steep drop.
