The nightmare continues for R. Kelly, a third women has now stepped forward and accused him of having sex with her while she was underage. She is also saying that Kelly got her pregnant and forced her to have an abortion.
On Monday Patrice Jones, who is now 20, filed a suit Monday accusing Kelly of criminal sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Jones is seeking $50,000 in damages, which is pretty commendable seeing as she could have gone for a couple mil. She says that she met Kelly when she was 16, and they had a 9 month sexual relationship with her. The suit claims that, “During their relationship … Kelly promised to teach … Jones various vocations in the music industry including operation of musical equipment and the making of music videos,” the suit reads. “Kelly took advantage of his occupation or status, position of authority and plaintiff, Patrice Jones, had trust and confidence in him to cause her to develop a dependent relationship in him.”
In June of 1999 Jones discovered that she was pregnant and when Kelly found out he used coercion to force her to get an abortion. He had his employees set up an abortion at Family Planning Associates, which he paid for. Jones is apparently under psychological care now from the trauma of having an abortion.
