Last year, 50 Cent created a buzz around Hollywood when he starred in Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Now, the rapper/actor wants to dive deeper into the film world with Home of the Brave, a drama that deals with the war in Iraq.

According to reports, the film follows three men as they try to regain the normality of life after fighting in the war. Other actors said to be linked to the project are Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Biel and Christina Ricci.

If he gets the role, this will be Fifty’s first time playing a fictional character.

Linkin Park is also trying something new for their next record. They have added legendary hip hop producer Rick Rubin to their roster for the next LP.

    So, why Rubin?

“He has produced so many of our favorite records, of everybody’s favorite records, he is just so versatile,” Mike Shinoda said during an interview with MTV.

“Anybody who can work with the Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, Slayer, System of a Down, Dixie Chicks and Neil Diamond, for us, that is what our sound is based upon. We like to mix different things together in a seamless way and we think Rick is a guy who understands that.”

According to Mike, Rick is already helping out by giving the band tips.

One of the things he told of right off the bat is, ‘Don’t think of yourselves as this is what Linkin Park is supposed to be, you can be whatever you want to be. Write anything that comes to your mind that you like.’ So I think the next record is really going to break outside the box. You will recognize it as a Linkin Park record, but something that takes it up a notch.”

Look for that album in the last quarter of 2006. In the meantime, Mike Shinoda is currently promoting his album as Fort Minor.
