Monica has cleared up rumors that she’s dating Kodak Black, explaining that the pair of artists are not currently romantically involved together.

The “So Gone” singer has been spotted hanging out with Yak over the last month as she even teased the Florida rapper taking her out on a date, but she wanted to make sure the public knew the boy was not hers.

“Bill & Shimmy My Heart … They know they can trust me with whatever & never have to doubt me,” she wrote about Kodak and Loe Shimmy.

“Not every relationship is about messing or dating,” she wrote. “I hang with their moms because I’m their age! LOL.. I’m gonna FOREVER love support & encourage them! They don’t play about me.”

Monica and Kodak were spotted on a date earlier this week as she flexed a blue Birkin bag that looked to be a birthday gift from the Sniper Gang leader and she posted on her Instagram Story stepping out of a Maybach.

“On a date kinda nervous,” she wrote.

Kodak has been showering Monica with love throughout the month in what looked to be an attempt to win her over. He and Loe Shimmy popped up at a concert where the R&B singer was performing and they surprised Monica with a bouquet of roses during the show.

One artist that Kodak is interested in romantically is GloRilla, who he attempted to flirt with earlier this month using lyrics from her new Cardi B-assisted hit “Tomorrow 2.”

The Florida rapper hopped into the comment section of the First Lady of CMG’s Instagram Live, writing: “You prolly aint my girl today but that’s why I love tomorrow.”

Outside of his love life, Kodak Black has been very busy with music as of late. He unleashed his Kutthroat Bill: Vol. 1 album on Friday (October 28) and earlier this week, Billboard reported that Kodak is headed to Capitol Records in a lucrative new deal. Kodak has one more album after Kutthroat Bill to fulfill his contract with Atlantic Records.

The news comes after Orlando Wharton, who signed Kodak Black to Atlantic in 2015, joined Capitol Records as executive VP and president of the relaunched Priority Records.
