Mobb Deep’s Havoc Producing For Joe Budden’s “The Great Escape”

Jersey City, New Jersey emcee Joe Budden has worked with top producers throughout the last decade. The Slaughterhouse member has charted hits with Just Blaze, as well as worked with Hip Hop mainstays like J. Cardim, Omen and others. Yesterday on Twitter, Budden revealed that for his forthcoming The Great Escape album, he’s teamed with one of the most respected producers in Hip Hop: Mobb Deep’s Havoc.

Nah, I won’t say nothin about this Havoc beat for the Great Escape… Nah, I’m chillin18 hours ago via Twittelator

Havoc is known for producing hits for 50 Cent, Notorious B.I.G. and Nas, in addition to his role in Mobb Deep. This is believed to be the first collaboration for the pair. The Great Escape, which is billed as Budden’s third studio album, will be released later this year.

    1. joe dat nikka just release a album n im’a buy it none of that mixtape shit that pops out out of nowhere.

    2. MM4 was crazy, first mixtape I’ve ever paid for. But I’m almost shocked at this collab, Blood on the Wall, Joey went in hard after Prodigy, not on some subliminal shit, he was as direct as possible. I guess it’s water under the bridge and havoc playing politics with prodigy behind bars. I think he sees the potential here, and if slaughterhouse signs with shady, havoc might be putting in more work with the heavyweights real soon.

    3. How does someone with low sales continue to get albums released? It’s almost like why bother? Nobody’s going to be looking for this.

      1. Sales dont reflect public intrest anymore, even the majority of the radio stars get everything stolen online. Joe buddens fans might be thieves but he can still sell out a show, how you think he makes his living??

By Your logic, everybody not named Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye, Drake or Nicki Minaj might as well retire

    4. Looking forward to the album. MM4 was tops among mixtapes and some albums last year. I’m sure what went down with P and Joey is dead weight. P also said he wasn’t beefing with nobody anymore before he went in. It would be nuts if Slaughterhouse and Mobb Deep got on some shit together when P gets out. Peace to the board…

    5. Who’s is the worst rapper? Oooooohhh man. Joe Budden is the worst rapper. What the fuck is Mood Music nigga? We doing Murda Muzik. LOL. Free Prodigy!!!!!!!!

    6. Man I dont even care about who he’s been working with. Joey’s been talking about dropping the great escape since the beginning of last year. Mood Musik 4 was a masterpiece, And the Great Escape was supposed to drop before that. All i’m saying is this album better be a classic, and nothing less.
