Mixtape Release Dates: Lil Wayne, Dizzy Wright, King L, Hip-Hop Chess Federation

Mixtape release date news has been scarce in recent weeks but there is new news regarding some of the summer’s most anticipated tapes.

Lil Wayne will be dropping Dedication 5 sometime in the near future. His follow up to the fourth edition has no release date stamped yet, however, recently DJ Drama revealed that fans can expect to hear the latest edition of Lil Wayne’s “Dedication” mixtape series soon. The tape is expected to sound most like the first three tapes in the series.

King L will release his latest mixtape via Livemixtapes soon. Jeep Music has no release date yet and little is actually known about the upcoming tape. Louie was recently featured on Kanye West’s latest album Yeezus and has gained a lot of buzz as of late.

The Hip-Hop Chess Federation will release their first ever mixtape and is taking submissions for Street Games Vol. 1. The federation is the first nonprofit to fuse music, chess and martial arts to promote unity, strategy and nonviolence. According to HHCF Founder Adisa Banjoko, “The goal of this mixtape is to show the musical and intellectual depth of Hip Hop.”

Dizzy Wright is slated to release his forthcoming mixtape The Golden Age and has announced August 19 as the release date for the project. Dizzy recently released the cover art for the mixtape and says that the tape features storytelling and that the material is full of substance.

Boogz Boogetz will release his American Fly mixtape. Presented by Karmaloop, the tape does not yet have a release date set.

    1. who cares about Wayne anymore…fuck him and his label…Dizzy Wright all day baby. FV 2013 Turn it Up !!!

      1. The person who cares about Wayne is the one commenting about him. As long as he is still releasing albums, he is relevant and will continue going multi-platinum.

    2. Shoutout to my fellow Hollygrove Weezy F. Baby for once again changing the Mixtape game with D5, there’s no doubt in my mind that Weezy can create the mixtape of the year and one that could go platinum in the charts if it were to be released. looking forward for the later part of the year now!
