Mike WiLL Made-IT got a big birthday surprise this week when he was given his own day in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

According to TMZ, Mike WiLL Made-IT received the Outstanding Citizen Award on Thursday (March 23) at his 34th birthday party. He was presented the award by T.I. and Philiana Williams, the director of film and entertainment in the Mayor’s office in the City of Atlanta.

In a video shared by the outlet, T.I. reads award documents in front of a crowd of Mike WiLL Made-IT’s family and friends which includes Rae Sremmurd, DJ Greg Street, OutKast’s Big Boi, and Xscape’s Tiny, to name a few.

“This honor will be ready next week and deems you a good will ambassador for the State of Georgia, signed Representative of Clarke County, congratulations bro, love and respect,” T.I. said

Mike WiLL Made-IT then took the microphone and gave a speech of his own to the crowd.

“Man, yo, I’ma look into this, ’cause I don’t really know all the way what this means, but I appreciate them having my favorite rapper, that I grew up bumping, read this shit and give it to me man, Mike WiLL Made-IT says in the video. “And to have T.I. at my muthafuckin’ birthday man, my brothers in here, they know what the shit means.”

He continued: “We grew up bumping the king right here man, the king of the muthafuckin’ south, you know what I’m saying? And we got our brothers right here, man, Rae Sremmurd, who put Ear Drummer Records on they muthafuckin’ back and made this shit real man. Shoutout to Swae Lee, shoutout to Slim Jxmmi.”

He then continued to thank those who came out to celebrate the special moment with him.

Aside from being honored by Atlanta, the EarDrummer Records founder has enlisted the help of some of Hip Hop’s biggest stars to make his official return to making music again for the masses.

Mike WiLL Made-IT  recently took to Instagram to share a slide of photos which features him in the studio with Lil Uzi VertJ. ColeFuturePharrell, and Rae Sremmurd. He also shared a few snippets of what the fruits of his labor have yielded him so far.

His last solo album, Ransom 2, dropped in 2017, while he also teamed up with the late Trouble — who was shot and killed last June — for Edgewood the following year.
