Migos, Moneybagg Yo and other artists have ventured to Tampa, Floria for Super Bowl weekend in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite numerous concert promoters such as Live Nation putting a halt to touring, rappers have continued to skirt social distancing guidelines and hosted shows or performed in front of packed crowds.
On Saturday (February 7), both Migos and Moneybagg headlined concerts in the city with fans mostly opting to hold their cameraphones up and film as opposed to wear masks or stay six feet apart.
Both concerts were part of a series of Super Bowl parties all throughout Central Florida. The stretch of performances continued a streak of packed out events where fans questioned if catching COVID-19 was worth it to see someone such as City Girls or Bow Wow in concert.

Migos’ and Moneybagg are just the latest Hip Hop stars to draw scrutiny from the general public. On Friday (February 5), St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman took issue with 50 Cent as well as party promoters for hosting a packed event inside of an airplane hangar.
After 50 was photographed at the event playing songs such as “Part Of The Game” from the upcoming Power spinoff, Kriseman called the event “stupid,” highlighting safety concerns for everyone who attended.
“This isn’t how we should be celebrating the Super Bowl,” Kriseman wrote. “It’s not safe or smart. It’s stupid. We’re going to take a very close look at this, and it may end up costing someone a lot more than 50 cent.”
