Any time and artist uses a different name, some people are left with questions. In the case of Mickey Factz, his new project for Mickey Mau5 has been one met with intrigue by some wondering who or what Mickey Mau5 is. As a result, Factz took to 3 Little Digs to be a part of an interview as Mau5, to explain what he’s bringing to people and who Mau5 is.
“My name is Mickey Mau5 and I reside in a time period where people understand what I’m trying to give out to the people,” he explained in the interview. “I’m trying to give peopel life, inspiration, something to kinda build them up during their day-to-day.”
When asked what he was releasing first, Mau5 shared that he will bring people to his childhood with the next release.
“The first story, the first canvas that I’m going to present to people will be called ‘Union Square,’ where I first grew up. I want people to understand where I grew up at, where I laid my head, where I saw the bums smell detestful, where I ate and sat and spray painted on the floor, where I saw mothers with their children walking around and being hungry and trying to get money for their families…Mickey Mau5 is that person who hustles to do whatever to survive. That’s what Mau5 is.”

Soooo we’re just gonna bite Deadmau5 with the spelling and such? I guess.
He knows deadmau5. He samples him on the tape. And the point of the name is symbolism. He talks to Warhol on the tape. He talks about a group of artists made up of both Europeans and Americans. Mickey is from the US. Deadmau5 is from Canada playing a type of music that really originated in England. The point is that in the 80s the realest artists talking about the USAs problems were underground Americans and pop star Europeans. He feels the same can be applied to our countries troubles today. Listen to the tape before all of you knock it man

I seriously thought this was going to be a collaboration with Dead Mau5 or something…guess not, so I’ll just say…seriously be creative. Spell it the regular way if you have to, it’s sad when you gotta copy someone else’s name and spelling.

yall all need to get a life a true mickey factz fan would’ve just appreciated what MAU5 is bringing to the table iight… besides all these “lils” and “killers” in the game at least he didn’t change is name to lil mickey or killer factz. The last thing Mickey would do is copy cause if he did he would’ve been on BET talking about his collab with drake right? Besides mickey knows dead mau5 and they’re making music together so chill out
