Metro Boomin and Hitmaka have responded to Hit-Boy after he dissed them on an unreleased song.
The King’s Disease composer took aim at a number of fellow producers on the track, which was previewed in a video posted on Instagram by Rory & Mal podcast co-host Rory Farrell on Wednesday (March 8).
“I’m usually homeboys with producers I get compared to, but on this one I want to say I’m stretched out, extra leg room/ I don’t really know dude, he seem like a cool cat/ But I never once heard Metro Boomin do boom bap,” he rapped.
Metro Boomin took to Twitter on Thursday (March 9) to seemingly respond to Hit-Boy’s song by quoting Kendrick Lamar‘s “Rich Spirit” lyrics: “Stop playin’ with me ‘fore I turn you to a song.”
Hit-Boy also took shots at Hitmaka, who earlier this week claimed he’s a better producer than the Surf Club soundman because he has more songs on the radio.
“I just seen Yung Berg spoke on the wave, I should do him like Trick Trick and snatch Hit out his name/ I had decoded the game, I had the coldest of days/ I’m like Bieber on his cruise, how you got no credits without co-producers?” Hit-Boy rapped.
In a comment on HipHopDX‘s Instagram post, Hitmaka fired back by writing: “All I said was he ain’t making radio/mainstream shit and he dissed us on a beat that won’t never touch mainstream or radio. Solidified my statement.”
Hitmaka initially responded to the song in Rory’s Instagram comments with: “@hitboy I really just listened…. is this your like attempt to do whatever Kendrick did on that big Sean record for producers?? [laughing face emojis].”
He added: “U ARE A TERRIBLE ARTIST. SEND ME BEATS PLS [laughing face emojis].”
Hit-Boy’s song, which was produced by The Alchemist, also called out Mustard by challenging him to change his production style.
“I fuck with Mustard, he can make that ratchet shit with his eyes closed/ But now I’m starting to wonder can that n-gga chop soul?” he rapped.
In addition, Hit-Boy threw shade at Southside‘s signature trap sound, rapping: “I never heard a Southside beat without an 808 in it / HB in drunk-driver mode, I swerve in every lane with it.”

Hit-Boy has placements with Beyonce and the Watch the Throne album before he and Nas linked. Dude been in the game a long time and putting in quality work. Young Berg was a wack rapper and now a wack producer.
