Method Man has aired out a Wu-Tang Clan fan after he called him the N-word in an angry DM.

The New York rap legend took to Instagram on Wednesday (July 26) to share screenshots of the profanity-laced message, which was written by a fan who was disappointed about him not being a part of Wu-Tang’s show in Kallithea, Greece on Thursday (July 27).

“Hello Mr. Smith. Sorry to bother you, but i am so disappointed that i could not hold back,” the fan initially wrote. “I got informed that you are not coming to Greece along with the rest of Wu tang on 27/7. This is so unfair, it’s not the same without you!!! You always give all the energy to the show.”

He added: “No method man means no real Wu. Please think again and make an exception. I know the reasons behind your absence and i totally understand but think about the fans also. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see all 9 Wu-Tang together. I was waiting my whole life for this. Please don’t do this to us!!!!! Love you!”

However, the fan later changed his tune, sending Method Man another message venting his frustration and calling him a “pussy ass n-gga.”

“You know what mr. Meth FUCK YOU,” he wrote. “[You] could at least read it. You don’t care about your fans, only thing you care is money, pussy ass n-gga. Get the fuck outta here you clown. I hope you make nothing but failures from this point on …. Bitch ass n-gga. FUCK YOU!!!”

In his caption, Meth explained why he posted the screenshots and said he was “sending love” to the man (who he tagged), despite his insulting messages.

“(Swipe) Gotta love the fans I’m pretty sure someone will say I’m wrong or that I’m bullying for posting this, but if I didn’t, you all wouldn’t believe me,” he wrote. “I mean, he even used the N-word . and this is after professing his love for Wu-Tang I can’t make this up. With that being said, I’m sending love and light to this young man.. @pskopelitis.”

Talib Kweli took to the comments section to salute Method Man for publicizing such racist behavior.

“People ask me often why I call out there racist white folks cosplaying as hiphop fans,” he wrote. “I do it for the same reason my brother @methodmanofficial does it. Because it’s the right and exact thing to do. Hiphop is a community. If we don’t protect the icons of our community who will? Salute.”

Skillz added: “Maaan wit a name like PanaGiOTIS?!?! He been mad since he found out what his first name was….you BE AIIIIGHT OTIS!”

In September 2022, Method Man explained why he wasn’t part of Wu-Tang Clan’s N.Y. State of Mind Tour with Nas and Busta Rhymes after fans “cursed him out” in his direct messages.

“I fucking love Wu-Tang, wish I could have been on that tour with them,” he said at the time. “The booking came at a bad time – I was already booked to do a movie. Only reason why I’m coming back saying this is because of my love for my fans, okay. The real fans. Not the ones that’d jump in your DMs and curse you the fuck out all call you all kinds of bitches.

“‘Cause like I said, I’m a very nice guy but I am not a pushover, and I would hate to smack the shit out of one of my fans, male or female, it goes both ways, please believe that. And I will not let anyone disrespect me. I’m a father, a grandfather, a husband, a brother. I have family and I have feelings on top of that.”

He added: “And I refuse to let anybody, I don’t care if you got one fucking follower muthafucka, you don’t mean shit to me. If you can bring smoke then you can take smoke, period. Dish shit out, you can take it.”
