Meek Mill Teams With JAY-Z’s Roc Nation For Docuseries About Criminal Justice System

Just over a week after Meek Mill‘s release from prison, the Dreamchasers MC is getting to work on a new documentary series — produced by The Intellectual Property Corporation in partnership with Roc Nation — that will explore his journey towards exoneration and examine the many flaws that currently exist within the criminal justice system.

As first reported by Deadline, the series will primarily follow Meek and his team as they discover and explore the corruption that has kept him treading deep waters in Philadelphia’s legal system for the better part of his adult life. The series will also provide exclusive access to his post-incarceration happenings.

JAY-Z, a very public supporter of Meek and one of the executive producers of the series, shared his thought on Meek’s release in a statement sent to DX last week.

“He was incarcerated unjustly and caught in a probation trap for years by a broken system,” Hov said. “We thank every individual that has supported and fought alongside Meek every step of the way.”

The currently untitled series is slated to air exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

    1. Jay-Z is still on the plantation with all these documentaries about the poor innocent black people. He is on the exact type of shit Kanye is talking about.

    2. Now this is the issue I have with this….explore the corruption that you brought upon yourself committing a crime. If you truly from the streets and really lived what you rapped about (lol) then you already knew the cops are crooked and fucked up so you avoid them. The problem is they want to complain about the dealer that got too long a sentence when really jayz and meek need to get the answers to why the man dealing in the 1st damn place!!! But instead of finding answers and possible solutions to get our youth off the streets, a support system for kids who has issues at home with half assed parents, programs that lead to trades, IT, education past highschool, credit, etc….nope lets shed the light cause guys getting too much time for committing crimes. Same ol same ol perspective…

      1. It still doesn’t change the fact the system is broken. If you did the crime cool do the time. However, Their is no reason someone should be on probation of 10 years. Imagine you were innocent and couldn’t afford a lawyer so you had to get a public defender. You do the time then you’re on probation for 5 years. Justice reform is for everyone not just the criminals. Don’t be programmed by the media and stereotypes. Get unprogrammed.
