Meek Mill says he is 70 percent done with work for his new album, set to be released this year.
“I’m working on my album right now [which is] coming out in the Spring,” Meek said in an interview with VladTV. “I’m about 70 percent done.”
Last year, Mill released his debut studio album, Dreams And Nightmares. Dreams and Nightmares earned a 3 out of 5 rating from HipHopDX at the time of its release.
“With Dreams & Nightmares it’s clear that Rick Ross’ protégé needs more time before he can rightfully call himself the lieutenant of the MMG army,” HipHopDX said at the time. “Rozay didn’t exactly come out the gate with universal acceptance on his debut Port of Miami either, arguably taking two to three albums before finally establishing himself as a respected artist. If you count his more recent Dreamchasers series and pieces of the two Maybach Music Group compilations, Meek Mill is on the verge of obtaining his stamp of approval. With that said, consider this project a dream that could be forgotten by mid-day.”
In January, Meek posted a Twitter update about his plans for his next album release.
“My next album is all that matters #specialdelivery #2014,” he said in one Twitter update.

Meek Mills debut album was a sales success moving 375k copies making it the #10 best selling HipHop album of 2012 which means Atlantic will crack open a respectable budget and let MMG & DC do the groundwork. Im not concerned with the promotional/marketing aspect of the project, I’m concerned with the direction of the project.
In order for Meek to thrive in this current climate he will have to expand on his subject matter and take a few chances, in this fickle market you can’t risk a sophmore slump project like Big Sean you need a constant sophmore project like J. Cole.
Production wise I expect Jalil Beats, Beat Billionaire, Tone Beats, Key Wane, Shebib, Young Chop, & Charlie heat in addition to a few big name producers.

Once you get distribution for your label you can start making some Tech N9ne money, here is a dude with his own label Strange Music and he never even goes Gold and has artists that barley sell 250K but he made 7 million last year.
