Meek Mill Promises Album Release In 2014

Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill has confirmed a new album by him will be released this year.

Meek Mill confirmed the news via Twitter, saying that his “next album is all that matters.” The Twitter update also included the following hashtags: #specialdelivery #2014.

A Meek Mill fan said that his new album or mixtape would “pure fire.” Meek Re-Tweeted the comment, adding a confirmation that this would be an album release, not a mixtape.

Meek Mill has released one official studio album, 2012’s Dreams And Nightmares

Dreams and Nightmares earned a 3 out of 5 rating from HipHopDX at the time of its release.

“With Dreams & Nightmares it’s clear that Rick Ross’ protégé needs more time before he can rightfully call himself the lieutenant of the MMG army,” HipHopDX said at the time. “Rozay didn’t exactly come out the gate with universal acceptance on his debut Port of Miami either, arguably taking two to three albums before finally establishing himself as a respected artist. If you count his more recent Dreamchasers series and pieces of the two Maybach Music Group compilations, Meek Mill is on the verge of obtaining his stamp of approval. With that said, consider this project a dream that could be forgotten by mid-day.”

Meek’s Twitter posts can be seen below.

    2. I bought his 1st album, i’m trieng to sell it on ebay, shit won’t sell! the 1st album really sucks all that autotune bullshit weak hooks and ross that fucks up all the tracks! this is the first album i bought that i never want to put in my vinyl collection!!

    3. remember right before his last album came out he said he was gonna fuck around and go platinum on these niggas first week LOLOLOLOLOL

      1. On October 22, 2012 Meek Mill tweeted

“Y’all niggas think its a game ima fuck around and go plat the first week on u niggas”

      2. he thought becuase he had 3 million fake dat piff downloads that 1 million people were gonna buy his album the first week? LMAO!!!

      3. Mill’s twitter account was hacked that day. In an interview I did for him, he told me that he wanted it to go gold. BTW, they haven’t update sales figures in months so it probably sold 100k since then.

      4. And you’re just a hater that is butthurt because meek mill can put out an album out at anytime while your hero boss, 50 cent can’t even get an album out despite being the head of his own label.

      5. “butthurt because meek mill can put out an album out at anytime”

cmon son. even ross cant get his album out when he wanted to!

      6. Nobody even mentioned 50 Cent. I don’t even like that nigga. And no, stanley. The only one butthurt here is your dickriding ass because your idol, Weak Mills, flopped with his album.

    4. LOL why so no one will buy it???

HE DROPS FREE MIXTAPE…CRASHES SERVER BECAUSE MILLIONS DOWNLOAD IT FREE

HE DROPS AN ALBUM…..LOLOLOLOLLLL NOBODY SUPPORTS

      LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLL

      1. you and i both know he aint crash no server. mmg paid them niggas to shut it down for an hour to make it seem like he did…

    5. I won’t bother to buy it. Not even gonna download it, because there’s no point of wasting valuable storage space on this shit.

    6. “”Y’all niggas think its a game ima fuck around and go plat the first week on u niggas”

What he meant was that he was about to meet up his homies and bash them with some platinum weapon. He won that fight.

    7. “Nobody even mentioned 50 Cent. I don’t even like that nigga. And no, stanley. The only one butthurt here is your dickriding ass because your idol, Weak Mills, flopped with his album.”

Meek Mills is almost gold with 480k sold.

      1. Sales have not update in a long time. He is almost gold right now. And his second album will go gold maybe platinum.

      2. FOH. Even if they did update them, it’ll show that Meek ain’t even close to 400K. His second album won’t go gold or platinum, it’ll go wood like the first one did since his buzz is now dying.

    8. til I looked at the receipt of $9124, I be certain that…my… friend was like actually bringing home money in their spare time on their computer.. there friends cousin started doing this for only sixteen months and just now cleard the dept on their appartment and bought a great new Alfa Romeo. read this article… http://www.Fb39.Com

Good, hope they lock up all of these dumb motherfuckers who incriminate themselves. You dumb fucks deserve the shit you sew

    9. “cmon son. even ross cant get his album out when he wanted to!”

He delayed it himself to make it a classic. Jimmy keeps delaying 50’s album. Big difference.

      1. Aww man, here goes that rap internet nerd logic again. Yall kids really need to stop looking at record sales as the only indicator of success or failure. Nas might not have went platinum, but he had several GRAMMY nominations from that album.

    10. That was years ago when CD’s flew out of stores. Nasty Nasir hasn’t gone platinum in awhile, so stop slurping.

      1. He bought his mother a house outside the Hood, released a successful album and singles,
co-authored a novel, launched Dream Chaser Records and has endorsements from Monster-Energy, Puma, Ciroc, Belaire, Skull Candy, and Monster-24K headphones.

He also put himself in a position to demand a 45-60K booking price and with Roc Nation/ Live Nation booking him tour dates he does at least two shows a month in addition to private bookings where he does an additional 2 to three shows a month…..Meek also gets paid doing after parties and walk troughs.

I know his success is far less successful than your level of achievements but being a Millionaire at 25 is okay I guess.

      2. “that basically means someone wrote his book for him because he’s illiterate”

He’s far from illiterate, the songs in his publishing catalog are under his government name with no ghostwriter credits so he can write well enough to get paid for his writings.

Co-authorization for “Tonys Story” is what you would expect with the original premise, ideas, and storyline that Meek created but authored and edited by professionals.

Don’t allow anonymous/invisible online troll-whites to tell you Meek isnt successful just follow him on IG & Twitter and see how he and his team are living, their success may even motivate you to become more successful.

      3. “the songs in his publishing catalog are under his government name with no ghostwriter credits so he can write well enough to get paid for his writings”

you know you dont need to be literate to write a song right? just cause he got someone handling his business doesnt mean he can read and write past 5th grade levels

      1. cassidy is irrelevant, just like meek mill will be in another year or so when the last of his little buzz burns out

    11. “Meek is not that successful compared to other rappers”

Eminem, Jay and Drake represent the 1% of rappers who actually make it. Meek is doing better than most B level rappers, Koch rappers, even some veteran rappers who aren’t relevant anymore. Why does his success make you so mad?

      1. and the only reason he’s b-level is his associating with rick ross keeps getting him features and shit…

        really he c list

      2. All Losers and miserable people hate to see people succeed, they secret,y wish that everybody was a miserable loner who’s on,y means of human interaction and communication is on random rap blogs.

      3. hes a pretty big hater himself. old ass nigga been hating hard for YEARS! tens of thousands of messageboard posts and he wants to talk about loners and losers?

    12. Meek thinks that every album he drops will sell a million because he believes in himself that much, any rapper that doesent think they will sell millions shouldn’t even release an album.

      1. its one thing to wanna sell a million copies but to think in 2012 that you have the ability to sell 1 million copies first week when you’re boss Officer Ricky has never gone platinum after 5 albums… cmon son!

      2. So you’re saying that rappers should have unrealistic expectations for themselves in order for them to put out an album. That makes no sense. No rapper is that egotistical. Even Kanye would think that’s ridiculous.

      3. Don’t be weird, just put all that rambling in one post instead of three.

an NBA star once said that every time he stepped on the court his intentions were to score 100 points and get the victory. An impossible feat but a goal nonetheless.

If you were an artist you would most likely want to sell 100 records and your expectations would be to sell 100 records because thats where you value your art at and where you set your goals at…..thats the difference between success and failure and that’s the difference between Meek Mill and you.

      4. His point is that every rapper should have the motivation and goal to go platinum in 50 different countries just like every rapper should want to be the best.

      5. Unfortunately, not ever rapper can go platinum. Unless you’re Jay Z, Kanye, Eminem, Drake, Macklemore, and Kendrick, it’s difficult to go platinum.

    13. “you know you dont need to be literate to write a song right? just cause he got someone handling his business doesnt mean he can read and write past 5th grade levels”

Awesome story dude. If believing that Meek Mill can’t read or write makes you feel better about yourself then continue to believe it. I’m sure Sean Hannity believes it.

I don’t believe these miscreants are actually as stupid as they pretend to be, I think they are just lonely kids that don’t have anyone to talk to so they say outlandish and foolish things over the internet hoping they can generate responses from strangers and thus have someone to chat with.

Tragic and utterly wretched creatures but yet somehow fascinating.

    14. “when you’re boss Officer Ricky has never gone platinum after 5 albums”

Port of Miami has sold in the high 900k range. It doesn’t matter if he ever officially goes platinum. His handlers don’t seem to mind, huh?

    15. “No hit singles, album went wood, dying buzz. What success does Meek have? Dude IS a B-level rapper”

50 Cent had zero hit singles last year. 368k isn’t wood, plus his buzz has been fine considering he’s still on other people’s albums like Yo Gotti’s.

      1. 50 cents is an irrelevant artist which is why Meek refused to sign with G Unit and chose to sign with MMG. Meek will continue to be on rappers albums because people enjoy his raps, nobody wants 50 Cents on their album, not even his boss Emenim.

      2. Dont try to convince HipHopDX about Meek, go to his IG and try to convince the millions of fans that pay to see him perform every week.

      3. “millions of fans that pay to see him perform every week”

This shit is hilirous!! Do you honestly believe that Meek Mill is performing for “millions” every week? There is 7 days in a week and I have to assume he is only performing for a few thousand people a night like his boss.

This is like when some guy said Wale had just performed for 40 000 when the club he was at only held 1500 or something!

      4. You must be pretending to be stupid or you love the attention, it is obvious dude was saying Meek has millions of fans NOT performing for a million fans at a single show idiot freak.

      5. Millions? HA!! He obviously doesn’t have millions of fans if a small portion of them actually bought his shit.

      6. nah dude read the quote again. thats what he said! millions every week!

“convince the millions of fans that pay to see him perform every week”

and no need to act like it wasnt your quote

    16. “when you’re boss Officer Ricky has never gone platinum after 5 albums”

When you see children make comments like that it shows you how sick some pretend-rap-fans are with their mentalities, can you imagine how many of our artists this era havent gone “platinum” while these wannabes celebrate that Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy and Mackelmore are “platinum”?

    17. Platinum is their God, its their source of pride that Vanilla Ice has a platinum plaque for his solo album and our Rakim doesnt, its how they mock us that UGK never went platinum but ICP did. Platinum is what they love more than the actual music because they helped Chingy go platinum while Common never did.

Platinum is their contempt and hatred for our culture which is why they use it in all their arguments against C Murder being more talented than Lupe Fiasco.

      1. “shaq went platinum. rick ross didnt lololol”

Exactly! Thats their mentality, I saw one of them bragging that J Cole wasnt platinum but LiL Jon was. I was thinking to myself these idiots dont give a shit about HipHop.

    18. “Unfortunately, not ever rapper can go platinum. Unless you’re Jay Z, Kanye, Eminem, Drake, Macklemore, and Kendrick, it’s difficult to go platinum.”

To be completely honest most rappers don’t even go Gold but the Geek Unit have been brainwashed by their Godfather to believe that every rapper goes Platinum or else they stop releasing albums.

    19. Lonely lil bitch jus wanna chat with a stranger, aint got nothing valuable to say, fuck it lets ignore that hoe and move on.

      (feelings will be caught)

      1. wowzers, so this is where the morons who get ran off social media go to chat? random guy threatens to ignore trolls and the trolls go apeshit. (laugh out loud).

      1. What does money have to do with Hiphop music and the Hiphop industry? How much is Marky Mark worth and what does his money have to do with his relevance in HipHop?

    20. So basically Meek Mill is living his dreams and made it out the hood and some suburbanite wants to criticize him because he wants tow go platinum with his albums? You must have a miserable life you losers.

    21. Meek Mill is a success story, how many other dudes from the streets get an opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars writing street poems?

    22. “Dont try to convince HipHopDX about Meek, go to his IG and try to convince the millions of fans that pay to see him perform every week.”

I can’t believe that cheerleader said Meek Mill performs for millions of fans every week! Thats fucking hilarious!

    23. “He’s got a job as a sports commentator on TBS, getting paid more than other rappers make with their albums”

I know. For a guy who used to make $20 million a year, that’s kinda embarrassing, especially when he’s there mostly to argue with Chris Webber.

    24. “where is Shaq today? LOL really quoteman?”

Really, half a man. Making a cameo in Grown Up’s 2 isn’t an epic career move.

      1. he did more in 1 year of his career than Ricky will do in 40. a retired washed up shaq is still more popular, more respected and more paid than william roberts

      1. you really think no one respects Shaq?

who else you know got a platinum selling rap album and 4 nba championship rings?

    25. Most of the old school athletes didn’t care about anything other than the game. Shaq was definately a stooge. He did anything for money. Yeah, he went platinum, but nobody cares today. Plus he finished his career on the Celtics where he was fat and had no impact. L.A. fans will always remember him, but I don’t think most people respect him like they once did.
