Master P has launched a new distribution company, Gutter Music Records and Distribution. The company will also distribute No Limit Records releases.
“The whole industry is changing, radio stations are constantly firing DJ’s… the industry is all visual now. Gutter Music will start small of then build – the Independent way,” P says of the company.
Gutter Music already has plans for the future. The first release titled Hurricane Katrina: We Gon’ Bounce Back by The 504 Boyz has a message of hope for Katrina survivors. Being that P’s from New Orleans, he is helping out the relief efforts by donating all of his album’s proceeds to aid the cause.
Master P., Silkk the Shocker, Krazy, Hallelujah and Playa all make appearances on the disc.
Other future releases include Young Ballers from Lil’ Romeo featuring The Rich Boyz. The Rich Boyz, which P says is “the future of the streets,” are a group of youngsters that include Lil’ Romeo and his brother Vercy Miller, who goes by the moniker Young V. Their cousins C-Los, Big Doug and Lil’ D round out the roster. Young Ballers is set to be released on November 22.
Finally, Master P’s own Living Legend album will be released November 29, just a week after the Young Ballers/i>.
Aside from music and charity work, P is also ready for the world of film. He’s currently working on a film titled Get Money. The release date was not available as of press time.
Rumors have also linked P to be a cast member of the next installment of the Saw movie series.
