Master P is directing a biopic of his life, Ice Cream Man: King of the South, according to XXL.
The New Orleans emcee will reportedly release the film through his own No Limit Forever Films. The movie will depict his ascent from the streets to the headquarters of his own No Limit record label.
The rated-R film, written by Master P, Parde Bridget and Wayne Conley, is slated to hit theaters Spring 2016.
Master P has previous movie experience when he wrote, directed and starred in 1997’s I’m Bout It and acting the lead role in 1998’s MP Da Last Don.
This project follows the N.W.A film Straight Outta Compton, which was released to theaters yesterday (August 14). A movie based on Tupac’s last week of life is also reportedly in the works.

Ummmm… No!
Omar Benson Miller as Master P
Sounds about right. Master P is generally one step behind biting someone, now putting out his biopic right after Straight Outta Compton. You can’t deny his success with No Limit Records but it always surprises me no one calls him out on how much he copies others from 2Pac, Outlast, Cash Money, etc.
EVERY ARTIST IS INFLUENCED OR INSPIRED BY SOMEONE ELSE, YOU MAD MY NIGGA P DID IT BIGGER AND BETTER, P ENTIRE HUSTLE AND STYLE, EVEN DOING ADLIBS, HAS BEEN DUPLICATED, I DONT SEE U GIVING HIM THE CREDIT, BOUT TIME P REMIND YALL NIGGAS WHO THE REAL KING OF THE SOUTH IS, WHO PUT IN THE WORK AND MADE SOUTH HIP HOP GO MAINSTREAM, HE THE REASON SOUTH STILL ON TOP TODAY . MORE ORIGINAL HITS THEN ANY NIGGA “I MISS MY HOMIES” “MAKE EM SAY UGHH” “GHETTO D” HE HAS LIKE 150 ALBUMS , EVEN HIS NEW SHIT THIS YEAR STRONGER THEN ALL THIS SOFT NIGGA SHIT OUT. SHOW SOME RESPECT THAT THE STREETS LOOK UP TO, FUCK THEM HATERS
What exactly did he bite from Cash Money please don’t say Hot Boys . P cousin Jimmy R.I.P was named Hot Boy since Hot Boys was a gang in New Orleans that Jimmy was a part of.
@ Dummy — Nah, Master P bit Cash Money much later when his sales were drying up.
@ realnikka504 — Let’s try to be an adult and learn to turn caps off. It’s clear you’re riding hard for The Tank but caps aren’t necessary to get your point across. Master P I’m sure is proud.
Yes, artists are influenced by others but you have to draw a line when its straight copying. No, I’m not “mad” at Master P for selling tons of records. More power and respect to him if people liked and bought his product. But you still can’t dispute that he copied Tupac/Dru Down/Luniz/others. Maybe you should listen to some more music outside of New Orleans.
He was stronger way before cash money
@ ray – yeah, I agree, Master P and No Limit was more popular before Cash Money. That still doesn’t dispute he was a well known biter. But he found the perfect time to drop his music and made millions.
HELL YEAH, THIS TEASER GOT ME TURNT, YOU CANT DENY MASTER P IS AL| LEGEND HE HAS MORE STREET HITS THEN ANY OTHER REAL GHETTO RAPPER, YOU DONT SEE NO RAPPER REALLY DISSING HIM CAUSE THEY KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN, P WENT FROM BROKE SELLING DRUGS TO 600MILLION DOLLARS, THESE YOUNG NIGGAS NEED SOME EDUCATION DROP THIS SHIT
This movie will be like Master P’s musical career, shitty trash. Anybody that thinks this dude is a legend should probably jump in a fire.
Shitty can you explain how he sold 75 million records independent and was the first rapper on Forbes top 25
He sold 75 million records independent because Priority/Universal was pushing that shit and dumb ass people bought it.
Simple. Dumb people buy dumb music. It’s okay to be a dumbass, it’s not okay to be a Master P fan.
He built an empire you look straight ass trying to deny that because of your lame ass immature opinion.
Who at that time sold more records who else had that many artist as master p did more in three year than anybody else did in ten year
It’s “Casino” just because you had a shitty verse on “Move that Dope”, doesn’t make you Master P level of awful. You need to write about 800 more awful verses and songs to reach that caliber. I know you study “Game Face” because you think it’s a masterpiece, just copy everything about “Real Love”, it shows how much of a street dude, Master P is. Keep sucking, and you’ll get there kid.
Speaking of which, when I was a kid, Master P was extremely popular amongst my friends. You want to know why? Because his lyrics were simple/insanely stupid and easy to understand. Also, when one friend would buy one of his shifty albums, the others would follow because of the gaudy covers that were usually embossed and had “diamonds” all over it. P is trash and if you think he was/is good, then you are trash also.
just before I saw the paycheck for $6398 , I did not believe that my friend could actualie receiving money part-time from there pretty old laptop. . there brothers friend haz done this for only 8 months and a short time ago cleard the morgage on there villa and bought a new Land Rover Range Rover . visit site

“Biggie biopic”??……………………………LMAO. That shit was nowhere in the same leauge as the NWA movie. production was terrible, bad acting, shit ratings and wont gross anywhere near what the NWA biopic will, fucktard.
BEFORE YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST DID IT, MASTER P DID IT 15 YEARS AGO, WROTE THE BLUEPRINT FOR THE INDEPENDENT RAP HUSTLE, ACTUALLY STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM, ACTUALLY SOLD DRUGS, CHANGED HIS LIFE AND FLIPPED 10K TO HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS, HAS HUNDREDS OF STREET HITS THAT MADE BILLBOARD TOP 10 AND SOLD 75 MILLIONS RECORDS THAT WENT GOLD AND PLATINUM MAKING HIM THE FIRST ARTIST TO MAKE 100 MILLION, 300 MILLION and 600 MILLION BETTING OUT PUFFY, RUSSLE, AND DRE ON FORBES and HE DID IT IN ONLY 3 YEARS.
Nah Miami was first! Uncle started the blueprint to the independent rap game he was the first artist to go platinum independent
life is not a sprint but a marathon, so even if he is the first to make 100 millions,300millions , 600 millions in 3 years like you say , today puffy dr. dre and jay-z are topping the list on forbes.
Does it really matter at this point. After Death Row there was no limit records. Nobody I mean nobody had the success master P had. He said it his self I’m not trying to be the best rapper but Im trying be the best business man. Who else had a 80 20 deal in the mid to late 90’s nobody. Im sick of trolls who dont know a lick about the music business. We talking about a black business man owning his own everything name publishing royalties to point where he was putting out movies and music every other week.Bottom line quit hating he may not be relevant in todays hip hop but in the business he was a trailblazer
Ain’t No Limit to my spending. That’s just why the sky’s the limit and if I could’ve told you, it had to be an better seller. I most definitely appreciate and respect a business man with an motive ego to start an empire and turn the homies on and keep growing strong and put energy in every song.
And on top of that keep expanding spreading his hustle to learn more and new tricks of the game from energy drinks endorsements, toys, rims, clothes and even chips and the list keep going. I told myself when I grow up I want to be like “P”.
That’s just why if I can get the role of “P” I will be more than honored for the simple fact, that I can adapt to the environment that you camed from and the motivation you put up forward as an rapper, actor, entrepreneur and an father to inspire your son along with others to keep working hard and never give up to succeed and encourage them to be what they want to be. God give you the wisdom and knowledge to encourage me.
Well a little about myself I’m 31 & from Miami, but originally from Opalocka, yeah you probably know my hood from Eddie Joe bringing you down to perform back in the late 90’s. I was still on the porch back then though. But I’m all growned up now and ready for world and everything that comes at me and the impact that it brings.
P.S I drop “C” a couple of lines earlier this year, but no response, I don’t know if he even got it, because I know them folks be tampering with his mail and give him the mail they want him to have. yeah I know how it is, because I been out for dam near two years from doing three. But Lord Knows free “C”, because Ain’t No Heaven In The Penitentiary.
