Mariah The Scientist has confirmed that she dated Lil Yachty before hooking up with current boyfriend Young Thug.
Appearing on Yung Miami‘s Caresha Please show, Mariah revealed that she has known Yachty since they were teenagers and met him when she was in high school.
Explaining their history, she said: “We dated. I actually met him in high school, but by the time I got to college, we started dating a little bit. I was just a broke college student.”
The “Spread Thin” singer also revealed that she wrote two songs for Lil Boat during their relationship, but didn’t get the reaction she was expecting.
“I made him two different songs and I put them on a iPod, I gifted it to him, I signed the back, it was real cute,” she recalled. “And he told me he did not want to listen to it because, ‘I don’t wanna shit [on it].’ He said, ‘I don’t wanna joan you so I’m not listening to that shit.'”

Lil Yachty had previously denied rumors that he dated Mariah The Scientist.
“Lol why do y’all keep trying me over this woman..,” he tweeted. “I been [quiet] for so long but plz stop making up this weird ass false narrative,” he wrote on X (then Twitter) last year. “& me and Mariah wasn’t dating at the time……. again!!!! Only time ima say this. Leave me out of it!”

However, Mariah The Scientist appeared to confirm the gossip when she chimed in with threats to air out all of Yachty’s dirty laundry.
“I know a n***a ain’t having sum 2 say bout sum I don’t ever speak on,” she tweeted. “Miles u got to be dizzy I will air u out on this b***h.”
Yachty responded to her post by saying: “Def not finna back and forth w u on the internet. I just cleared my name, ur fans r weird.”
Mariah The Scientist has been in a relationship with Young Thug since 2021, though they only confirmed it after he was arrested on RICO charges.
Mariah has been a frequent fixture at the courthouse during Thug’s lengthy trial, while the YSL rapper has repeatedly professed his love for her while behind bars.
