Mariah The Scientist wanted to celebrate her three year anniversary with Young Thug by visiting him in jail, as he is incarcerated for the duration of the YSL trial — but she didn’t get the chance, much to her disappointment.
Mariah shared her story via social media. She recounted how she headed out to the facility, only to be told that “the system is down” — the visit, she explained, is “through a screen.”

“Today is my three-year anniversary with Jeff,” she began. “I done drove all the way to this muthafuckin jail. The jail is 30 minutes away from the city, first of all.
“I done drove all the way to this muthafuckin jail and stopped at Party City in between so I could tape up my little ‘Happy Anniversary’ sign in the back because there’s not much space. It’s through a screen, by the way.

“I done drove all the way to this muthafuckin jail with my little ‘Happy Anniversary’ shit and my Scotch tape and get inside for them to say, ‘The system is down.’ I’m devastated. I’m looking cute. I done put this fucking ponytail in my head. I done did all this shit and I can’t see my man on my anniversary and I am sad.”

Mariah did get a chance to talk to Thug recently in an unexpected place and time: with Latto, as the two guests were on an episode of WNBA star Angel Reese’s podcast Unapologetically Angel.
A segment during which the trio were bantering about “Angel’s Type” was briefly interrupted when Mariah received a phone call from Thugger.
“Me and my man, we’re locked in. He’ll just sit here and listen to my conversations,” Mariah explained. After a short stint, the call ended and the show resumed as normal.
Earlier in the show, Mariah talked about her relationship with Thug, who as mentioned is currently jailed while the YSL trial plays out.
