Ma$e vs. Fabolous

When Mase returned to the streets as Murda Mase, people wondered how other emcees would react. The speculations rose further when Mase dissed fellow New Yorkers Fabolous, Cam’Ron and Loon.

Recently, Fab went back to the lab to create his own dis, which he claims will outwit M-A-Dollar Sign-E’s taunts.

“He threw a jab and I threw a jab and uppercut,” Fab said to MTV on Monday.

He went on to claim Mase had been friendly when the two met.

“I feel dude is confused…If you’re not really a killer but you running with a bunch of dudes that say they’re killers, I guess you’re gonna talk like you a killer too, even if it’s not believable,” he said.

“I think [Mase] got caught up in trying to act like the people he’s around. 50 Cent and them is known for taking jabs and saying wild, reckless stuff. I guess he felt he had to jump in those shoes too. I just had to answer to it.”

Fab also went on to explain that he has officially moved to Def Jam and that he will work on his album as soon as possible.

In other Def Jam news, Freeway has started work on his next project. For the up-coming LP, 50 Cent and Jay-Z will assist Free separately.

This somewhat deflates the rumors that Jay-Z and 50 had beef.

The album should be released later this year or early 2007.
