Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox may have put their wedding on pause, but a source close to the couple claimed that they’re trying to work things out so they ultimately can get married.
“They are slowly working on reconciling but he’s totally in the doghouse still,” a friend of the pair revealed to People on Friday (May 19). “He’s doing whatever he can to get her back, and she’s making him work for it. It’s still an unhealthy dynamic though, and their friends just don’t see this lasting.”

But while MGK may be doing his part to try to win back his fair lady, Fox is playing hardball — and the couple’s friend also claimed that the Transformers actress won’t say “I do” until her man shapes up.
“He has a lot of proving himself to do, and he doesn’t want to give her up. He is great with her kids and super hands on. It’s a work in progress,” the friend said.
Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox first got engaged in January 2022.
On the official day of the engagement — which was on January 12 — the rapper/actor posted a video confirming his proposal to Megan Fox along with a heartfelt message explaining the unique ring he use to ask for the actress’ hand in marriage.
“‘Yes, in this life and every life,’” MGK wrote in part in the lengthy caption. “Beneath the same branches we fell in love under, I brought her back to ask her to marry me. I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald [her birth stone] and the diamond [my birth stone] set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”

The pair first confirmed their relationship in June of 2020 after sparking dating rumors following the actresses’ appearance in the Tickets To My Downfall rapper’s sultry “Bloody Valentine” music video.
In October of the same year, MGK told NME their whirlwind romance was part of the inspiration for his fifth studio album, which became his first to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
