Machine Gun Kelly is keeping his foot on the creative gas, dropping off a brand new track called “Pressure” — watch the song’s video below.

Arriving on Monday (May 29), the track hears MGK revisit some of his past while putting his legacy under a microscope — all of which he does over three different beat changes. “Pressure” starts out as a bass, hi-hat heavy track, then it transitions into a chopped and screwed-like variation, before crash landing on an up-tempo vibe.

So that I could learn me a lesson/ I was 11 (Damn)/ Sharin’ a bed with my dad but didn’t have a bedroom/ In a recession (Yeah)/ Six of us in a Ford Explorer, didn’t have leg-room,” Machine Gun Kelly raps on the track.

He continues: “Everything’s destined (So)/ It was inevitable I take on his aggression/ Mad at the world ’cause I’m feelin’ rejected/ Guess that I gotta die to be a legend.”

As for the Sam Cahill-shot video, the first few seconds sees Machine Gun Kelly and friends wearing spray painted “RIP Money T” shirts, paying homage to his late friend. Elsewhere, Kellz is seen riding a motorbike and driving a Chevrolet Super Sport, and he also leads a group of dancers as they bust out moves on the street.

You can check out the video, which also features a funny cameo from Pete Davidson, below:

Machine Gun Kelly has been digging up his roots as of late and replanting himself back into the soil of Hip Hop. He recently threw a few shots toward Jack Harlow in a freestyle over JAY-Z and Eminem’s “Renegade” beat.

Likely in reference to Harlow recently proclaiming he’s “the hardest white boy” to pick up a microphone since Eminem, MGK served up the scathing bars in his homies’ backyard.

“Make sure there’s no confusions/ I’m a great white, I can eat these barracudas/ See who I am? You’re stupid, it’s nice to meet you/ I just put this hole in the ground for you like a soccer cleat shoe/ I see why they call you Jackman, you jacked man’s whole swag/ Give Drake his flow back, man, I eat rappers like Pac-Man,” he spit over the infectious beat.

Machine Gun Kelly is currently working on his first rap album since 2019’s Hotel Diablo. His last two albums, 2022’s Mainstream Sellout and 2020’s Tickets To My Downfall, were both pop-punk centered albums.

“I’m going to make a rap album for myself,” he told Audacy last year. “For no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder. If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I’m going to one, drive myself crazy and two, not make a good product. I made Tickets and Mainstream Sellout because I wanted to make them. I need to now also make people miss that sound.”

“I’m going to do this tour and I’m gonna step into where I left Hotel Diablo and expand on my storytelling as a rapper and find a new innovative sound for the Hip Hop Machine Gun Kelly. That’s where my excitement is and where me as a music archaeologist wants to explore.”
