Lupe Fiasco Offers To Destroy “Lasers” Albums

Lupe Fiasco says that he will take back copies of his third studio album, Lasersfrom fans who do not like the project.

“If you have a physical copy of LASERS that you absolutely hate and wish for it to be rendered non-existent then you can send it back to me,” Fiasco wrote on Instagram today (August 31), “and I’ll have it destroyed with an actual giant laser and send it into next world in spectacular grand fashion and we can all get on with life nice and happy like it never happened. No hard feelings.”

The Chicago rapper says that he plans on doing the destruction on New Year’s Day 2016.

Fiasco says he personally likes the album and believes many people share his sentiments. He continues that there is a “myth that it’s one of the worst rap albums ever but sometimes the myth can be stronger than the truth.”

Fiasco released Pharaoh Height, a six-track EP, Friday (August 28).

    1. @dan*his only dope album?come on bro bro*with a statement like tht*it undoubtedly shows your lack of hip-hop knowledge*you therefore have lost credibility*don’t let me catch u around here anymore you hear*LoutL*to the issue at hand*lupe is my favorite rapper*biases aside*the album overall was mostly popE*but it’s the lyrics as always where he nailed it*the ni66ah needs to chill out tho*real heads kno Atlantic forced his hand*their are sum bangers on the joint*let em talk*Harlem shake the haters*long Liv the 80s & 90s*

      1. Lasers is his worst album. It’s commercialized shit. Lupe has Food & Liquor, The Cool, and Tetsuo & Youth, which are all great albums.

    2. I listened to Lasers again recently. It’s not as bad as when it first came out. Considering all the trash rap that dominated the airwaves years after, I’d definitely put this album above that. But still, it is Lupe’s worst album in his discography.

    3. Lasers was ok. It just came off as bad because of the standards fans have for Lupe.. it was by far his worst project but on its own it’s not bad, still has messages in it and enlightment etc

    4. Lasers was a good album. Lupe the king of everything. He’s lyrical, he can flow, and he’s beautiful.

    5. The reason Lasers was considered “trash” was because Lupe released two classic albums in Food & Liquor and The Cool. The expectations were just way too high and he tried to be inventive by giving a more pop sound to his music.
Alright album, but Lupe could’ve and has done better

    6. Lasers was aight to me, this is some type of PR stunt. Shout out to Lupe for holding that real down though.. Eat healthy
