Ludacris & J.I.D Show Up & Show Out For Conway The Machine’s ‘Fallon’ Performance

Still pumping with fresh energy from his recently released La Maquina album, Conway The Machine made his national television debut on Thursday (May 13) in style — and with a couple of tenured lyricists by his side.

Performing the fast-paced, bass-heavy “Scatter Brain” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the Griselda/Drumwork general got live assistance from the song’s guests Ludacris and J.I.D.

The three MCs conjured up their tongue-twisting rhymes in a swirling labyrinth of disconnected television sets and barbed wire encapsulated in a low-hanging mist. As parts of the world come to terms with the positive aspects of the COVID-19 vaccine, the performance speaks to the reemergence of live shows in the space as well.

La Maquina has no shortage of collaborations as Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, 2 Chainz, Jae Skeese and 7xvethegenius all make appearances on the vocal side.
