Ludacris appears to be back in his bag and having fun with rap again, having dropped off a brand new freestyle that has impressed his peers.

The Atlanta rapper and actor — who hasn’t put out a new album since 2015’s Ludaversal — took to Instagram on Friday (February 3) to remind fans of just how good he is behind the mic.

I’m original, indispensable, rhyme zone/ Skydweller Rolex , fuck a time zone/ My watch feeling like ‘Pac/ It’s all eyez on/ And I’m the truth in the booth/ Get your lies on,” he spits, performing in front of some huge house plants.

Continuing to deliver the type of lyrical acrobatics fans have come to expect from Ludacris, he also makes use of some props, picking up a scotch on the rocks as well as a size 10.5 red Nike Air Force 1, and mentioning both of them in his bars.

“It gets dark when you step into the limelight/ I’m on that scotch on the rocks with a lime, like,” he raps. Luda later adds: “That flow’s stupid/Bitch, if the shoe fits wear it/10 and a half, my foot in your ass, from here to Okinawa.

“Dis $hit Startin to feel FUN AGAIN,” Ludacris captioned the clip, which you can check out below.

A number of Luda’s peers took to the comments section of his post to salute his efforts, including a stunned 9th Wonder who simply wrote: “Sheeeeeeeeesh.”

A number of other well-known names seemed to have no words for what they had just witnessed, so instead they hit Luda with a series of fire emojis. Affion Crockett, DJ Paul, Project Pat, PJ Morton were among the flame-throwing viewers.

Actor Larenz Tate also threw in some fire emojis, but added: “Virgooooo!” followed by some microphone emojis.

Luda’s former DTP artist Shawnna also weighed in, posting a series of emojis including a 100, bicep and crown emoji.

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that Luda has hopped on social media to remind fans of his lyrical capabilities. Last month, he wanted to make sure people hadn’t forgotten his verse on Nas’ “Made You Look” remix.

The Atlanta rap titan posted a video after catching wind of fans debating about who came out on top from the heavyweight collaboration between him, Nas and fellow guest MC Jadakiss.

Luda sought to end the argument once and for all by reciting his show-stealing rhymes word for word in an effort to jog the memory of those who may be sleeping on his contribution to the track.

“Man, I picked up my phone today and saw that the Luda fans chose violence and I’m loving every minute of it. So let’s add to the debate online about the ‘Made You Look’ song, the remix, the verses just in case they missed a line or something,” he said before diving into his verse.

The remix to “Made You Look” dropped in 2003 just a few months after the release of the original, which appeared on Nas’ sixth studio album God’s Son. Nas, Ludacris and Jadakiss famously performed the song at the former’s Made You Look: God’s Son Live concert at New York City’s Webster Hall that year.
