Lonzo Ball is clarifying his contribution to his brother LiAngelo Ball’s new viral song “Tweaker” after the release of the track’s credits have some fans confused.
The song lists the NBA star as both the writer and as vocal accompaniment on Apple Music, but in a post to X on Monday (January 6), Lonzo clarified what he actually did.
“Only credit I deserve is the cover art lol G really that! #YearOfG,” he wrote.
Multiple scenarios are possible in this situation. There’s a world where LiAngelo just credited his big brother on the song in an effort to put extra money in his pockets, while it’s also possible that Lonzo is just being humble and wants his younger brother to get all the shine for his new hit.

Or, it could simply be a matter of the credits being messed up, which happens fairly often.
“Tweaker” hit streaming services on Friday (January 3), but had already gone viral online after LiAngelo played the song on Neon’s stream and fans immediately compared it to something that would have been released in the Cash Money/Hot Boys era.

In just four days since its release, the song has already hit over 4 million views on YouTube.
In other news, LiAngelo and Cam’ron got into online a few months back after the Dipset rapper-turned sports analyst mocked LiAngelo for playing overseas and not being good enough to make it in the NBA like his brothers Lonzo and LaMelo.
Speaking on It Is What It Is, the Harlem native imagined Gelo’s brothers telling him: “We tried, we did everything we could. We gotta tryout in China for you, that’s all we got” before declaring: “He ain’t NBA good.”
LiAngelo, who has had stints in the NBA’s development league and Summer League and last played professionally in Mexico, quickly hit back on his own podcast What an Experience, which he co-hosts with his brother Lonzo and friends DMO and Anthony Salazar.

“‘Suck It Or Not’ with Lil Wayne, that’s all I remember from you,” he said while addressing Cam. “You don’t know my story like that. To say, ‘Oh, he got a tryout in China,’ you don’t know what I did in the G League, boy. I’m out here hooping.”
Cam’ron returned fire on a follow-up episode of It Is What It Is, saying: “I only know you ’cause your father’s a great marketer, n-gga. I wouldn’t know you if it wasn’t for LaVar Ball.”
He also referenced LiAngelo getting arrested in China for alleged shoplifting: “[LaVar] had two sons that he was right about. Gelo, I ain’t got no problem with you, I just gotta call it like I see it. You’re lucky Trump was in China ’cause they might have cut your fingers off over stealing those sunglasses, n-gga.”

Ball later jabbed back in a video posted online, in which he rubbished Cam’s rap career: “I’ve never talked to someone and you’ve been in [their] top five, top 10, bro. I’ve never heard your name in no rap convo.”
