Living Legends Set to Blitz the Industry

The Cali underground collective, Living Legends are back on their grind. After releasing Classics last year, the crew is ready to showcase some solo talent.

First up to bat is Murs, who teams with Little Brother’s 9th Wonder to bring Murray’s Revenge. The new LP from the duo will hit the streets in late March.

Living Legend Lucky.Iam PSC’s also got some solo work on the way.

He’ll release Time 2 Get Lucky later this year with Seattle’s Bean One behind the boards. The album will feature appearences by Brother Ali, Aesop Rock and more.

Aside from recording, he’s also found time to change his name.

“With all the name confusion I have had through my career and the various aliases & Hip Hop World Pop group front men having the “I Am” at the end of their names & southern gangster rap collectives using the P.S.C initials & etc. I need to stick with something simple that defines me. So my new and final rap name is just Lucky…I am re-inventing myself this year people,” he said on a newsletter.

Fellow LL Crew member The Grouch is also in the lab. He’s working on three albums. One with Zion-I and one with Eligh for E&A’s next installment.

The last will be a Grouch’s solo album.

Meanwhile, fans can catch the Legends live at this year’s Paid Dues Festival. It will be an independent Hip-Hop event showcasing acts like Felt (Murs & Slug), Aesop Rock, Brother Ali, Cage, Chingo Bling and others along with the Living Legends.

The outdoor event will be held in March 11 in San Bernardino, CA.
