Linkin Park to Release Hip Hop Album?

    Riding high on the success of their debut album, “Hybrid Theory”, this sold over 11 million copies worldwide. Linkin Park is getting set to release a remix album. The group has linked up with producers Alchemist and Evidence to produce a couple tracks for the new release. They are also negotiating with Prince Paul and Pharaoh Monch to participate in the project.

    Linkin Park has had success by appealed to the new-age hip-hop crowds – a mesh between urban, skater and metal culture and are looking to continue their success with their remix album. To add to their mass-appeal they have also got Marilyn Manson, Jay Gordon and the Humble Brothers on board with this newest project.

    Guitarist Brad Delson recently told Rolling Stone magazine in regards to the new album, “It’s basically reinterpreting all of the songs from the Hybrid Theory record, collaborating with a number of different people in the hip-hop, dance and rock worlds, and really creating all new songs for pretty much our hard-core fan base that wants new music.”

    Linkin Park is currently touring with Cypress Hill for their Revolution Tour concert series and are featured on the cover of the current Rolling Stone magazine.
