Lil Yachty and James Blake will be dropping a joint album later this month, and the music may be the “deepest Yachty’s gone.”

Ahead of the LP’s June 28 release, the pair sat down with Complex to talk all things music and of course, the project – which is titled Bad Cameo.

According to the description, the record is “trippy, ethereal and deep, maybe the deepest Yachty’s gone.”

“We got a really vulnerable side of Yachty in some of those sessions,” Blake added.

While they’ve yet to release a tracklist and didn’t speak too much on what to expect from the album, Yachty did discuss a song where he details his love for his daughter – which Blake called “so beautiful.”

“When you vocalize something, it makes things feel a lot more real,” Yachty said. “So for me I think it was writing those words down, saying them, it just made me feel the way. It was just like, damn.”

Blake added: “I can tell why you chose that beat because it just feels wistful and sort of, I don’t know, endless. It just keeps going round and creates this perfect bed for you to just tell the story or say how you feel about her.”

The album will follow a slew of music Lil Yachty recently dropped exclusively on SoundCloud.

During a late night rollout on a SoundCloud page named ‘Concrete Leak System,’ the Atlanta hitmaker released 14 new cuts — a highlight of the package is the 21 Savage-assisted “Part of the Plan,” as well as a collab with Vory.

Lil Boat later confirmed these are part of an official release (as opposed to a leak) in a post on X (formerly Twitter.)

It’s been a busy and productive year for Lil Yachty. Earlier this year, the RIAA certified the rapper and singer’s 2016 debut Lil Boat and its 2018 sequel Lil Boat 2 gold.

This accolade by the trade organization honors 500,000 album sales or equivalent units, which both packages have surpassed separately since their releases via Quality Control and Motown Records.

The original Lil Boat put the Atlanta artist on the map. Its follow-up two years later debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard chart, marking him as a full-fledged star.
