Lil Wayne Reportedly Drops $51 Million Lawsuit Against Cash Money Records; Lawsuit Not Dropped, Karen Civil Says

Just over two months after it was initially reported that Lil Wayne was planning a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money Records, it looks as the two parties may have come to a mutual understanding.

According to exclusive reports on theJasmineBRAND.com, Lil Wayne has now dropped the $51 million lawsuit. Allegedly, the Cash Money Records CEO never responded to Wayne’s allegations of being played out of tens of millions of dollars for his postponed album, Tha Carter V.

“However on April 6th, Lil Wayne filed documents in the case stating he wishes to voluntarily dismiss the lawsuit against Cash Money,” theJasmineBRAND article says. “He dismissed the case ‘without prejudice’ meaning he could re-file but it appears the rapper and his mentor Birdman may have reached a truce.”

    1. Wayne knew he can’t win. Doesn’t mean birdman will take wayne back though. He already acted like a bitch on twitter and taking him bad would look bad on cash money.

      1. Nah, Birdman knew Wayne could win. And, not only that, but also expose how he’s screwed over other artists, producers, contractors. There’s a long history of Cash Money not paying people. So Birdman offered him something to drop the suit.

    2. Y’all know Damn well that Wayne and Birdman is not beefing lol…they promoting the he’ll out of Wayne’s album. Gtfoh lol. Nights will do anything to sell records and that include fake beef.

    3. J Cole explained that Let Nas Down was just him getting sad that his hero hated his wack ass shit, work out and his other songs.

      1. you must be a young thug fan. you younger ones like your rappers in dresses and calling other niggas their hubby and shit. stfu

      2. Look at Dan making up lies. It’s pathetic. Nas is actually a fan of J Cole as he actually worked with him. BTW, none of Cole’s songs are wack.

    4. Wayne dropped that Lawsuit for that fact that he would not win. Baby isn’t stupid, Shady biz but once you sign over.. its a rap.

      1. I doubt it. he may not get all of it but he’ll get some of it and If not at worst he will get his release from cash money.

      2. Drake is signed to Wayne, so wherever he goes, he comes along too, alongside Nicki and the other Young Money artists.

      3. Drake signed to cash money. Birdman lended him drake and gave wayne co executive producer credit but when wayne leaves, drake stays.

      4. Nope. Drake signed to Young Money, which is under the umbrella of Cash Money. Birdman didn’t lend shit to anyone. Where Wayne goes, Drake goes, too.

      5. How bout this Go Watch Divorce Court. Wayne & Baby lawsuit has nothing to do with you. Only business you have with them is listening & critiquing music. You are the reason why Hip Hop is dead. You can’t have music without the soap opera. You both sound like two grandmothers on a stoop chatting people business.

    5. Remember the good old days where Dan or dentalboy is defending wayne against every accusation that they made against him? Now that he doesn’t want to be part of cash money anymore, Dan starts accusing him of the things he previously defended against. Bandwagon bitch folks.

      1. his mom probably made him get a part time job at mcdonalds, got tired of him asking for 5$ everyday so he can find someone to sell him a nick back of reggie to keep his trolling powers at 100%

    6. Damn this just proves how easily influenced Yall mothafuckas are, now everyone has to back track their comments, because he didn’t drop the lawsuit, dumbass white people

    7. Perfect example of social media jumping the gun, checking zero facts and getting the story wrong. As usual.
