Since yesterday’s (March 15) news broke of Lil Wayne’s second hospital stay in five days, reports have slowed down. After celebrity news and gossip site TMZ’s information conflicted with reports from Lil Wayne’s friends and business associates, updates have been slim.
Today (March 16), what is known is that both Drake and Birdman visited the artist at Los Angeles, California’s Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where Wayne was a patient twice this week. Yesterday, within two hours of initial reports of assisted breathing and a coma, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to tell fans that he had begun recovery and was “good.” Birdman and Mack Maine also publicly disagreed with the early accounts of the gravity surrounding Wayne’s hospitalization. TMZ’s reports also alleged that the New Orleans, Louisiana star’s stomach was pumped after reported high-levels of the drug codeine. Wayne has yet to speak on those allegations.
Non-Cash Money/Young Money supporters have included T.I.—who took umbrage with TMZ’s reporting in the last 24 hours, Jay Electronica, and Chris Paul, the last of whom, was also among Weezy’s visitors Saturday, according to MTV.com.
